"I arrived late on a stormy night to a warm greeting at the front desk. Check in was smooth, my room was clean and comfortable, and I slept well. The next morning I found varied offerings in the breakfast room. I am a savory breakfast person and had a good meal. Everyone was friendly. I had to check out early, so I did not see the pool or other amenities. The hotel was conveniently located. I have stayed there before and will again."

"We would prefer breakfast in a restaurant than a bar. The parking lot seemed safe. The elevator was noisy and you wondered if you would get to your floor. Alarm clock in the room didn't work."

"Fifth time staying at the Carlton and absolutely love it! Both the hotel & motel have been wonderful. Clean, comfortable with parking close by. Located in a cozy neighborhood with numerous restaurants and shopping within a close walking distance. Highly recommend!! "

"The room was very clean and the attendant at the front desk at the time, Monica, was very sweet and helpful. She offered us a free late check out and encouraged us to sign up for the rewards program, which I will be taking the time to do later. There are a couple of things that were less than satisfactory though. First thing, the shower stall is extremely small and cramped even for just one person. Secondly, the elevator had food trash all over it(scraps, chicken bones, etc.) We told Monica right away and she was on it. Thirdly, there was a comedy show gathering in the lobby that night we checked in and although this is not the fault of the staff or the hotel, the guests of the show were loud, belligerent, and a little creepy. One of them approached me and my partner and we felt very uncomfortable after the interaction. Maybe in the future, I would suggest holding the guests of the show in a conference room or something because they were congesting the lobby/elevator area. Lastly, although we did have a late checkout and put the do not disturb sign on the door, the housekeeping staff knocked on our door multiple times after telling them we had a late checkout. I would suggest to the staff to respect the sign on the door and communicate with each other which rooms have already been cleaned/knocked on/checked. Other than those things, I really enjoyed my stay. Very reasonable price, wonderful front desk staff, clean rooms, and free parking!"
