The original boathouse/guesthouse on this estate property has been completely remodeled to offer you 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. All new mattresses as of September 2019. Great room includes new stacked-stone fireplace that changes colors at the click of a button--sooo cool! Big 55' screen TV and comfortable Pottery Barn furnishings. Chef caliber GE Cafe appliances in an all new kitchen. Hand cut travertine stone throughout the master bath with a luxurious deep soaking tub. Whether you are visiting family in the area, working on contract in Seattle or Bellevue or just looking to get acquainted and visit the sites, this home offers quiet, centrally located accommodations.

2) House is 60 feet from the East Lake Sammamish Trail that navigates the lakefront. Great for walking, biking. Local Pizza Pub & convenience store is a 5 min. walk. Or 25 min walk to Issaquah.
3) Access to Lake Sammamish via several spots: State Sammamish boat launch is 1 mile south. Lake Sammamish State Park is 2 miles south. Sammamish Landings Waterfront Park/day dock is about 5 mins. drive north.
4) Pine Lake Park is another popular swimming area, 2 miles east of the house.

Beautiful lake view on the trail

We love the boathouse! Lots of sun and beautiful view upstairs. The house itself is well outfitted, cute decor and comfy beds. Really convenient for walking our dog as the trail runs right by the house. And Lisa was super communicative and helpful.

A lovely home for a lovely holiday

Well appointed home with comfortable beds, lovely kitchen, living room with fireplace. Host was most welcoming and had great recommendations. Our family enjoyed visiting together for the holiday and had some great walks and talks on the lake pathway. Thank you for your hospitiality!

Great Stay at the Boat House

Pre trip communication with owner was good. The instructions for staying in the house were very informative with directions, code, eating recommendations, etc. Nice trail around the lake for morning walks. Very peaceful and the beds were very comfy. Weather was not good for using the deck, but did get to sit out on one evening. Great place!

Excellent lake view stay

The locking mechanism on the door works sometimes, and the door also sticks. The BBQ doesn’t work, and the air conditioning broke down. The noise from the traffic was loud, trying to sleep. Despite all these things, we had a wonderful stay. The deck was absolutely perfect to sit out, relax and enjoy the view. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked and the living area was lovely and bright. The location was central to all we needed to see in Issaquah. Did I mention the deck? We would return in a heart beat.

We had a wonderful time.

The kitchen was well stocked with all the things that we needed during our stay. The large deck was a game changer for us as we enjoyed socializing and just enjoying the view. Lisa was very responsive to our needs and was quick to reply to our inquiries. We liked having the bike/walking path literally right outside our door. And restaurants and shopping were just a short drive away. We fully enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location and host

We mostly hung out to visit with friends from out of town and were looking for a great view while we did it. The property was lovely and the view exceeded expectations. It's quite conveniently located, with a gym and the grocery store about 5-7 minutes away and other amenities even closer. The host was responsive and awesome. Kitchen worked well for cooking all meals needed.

Great accommodations in Sammamish

Overall we had a very pleasant stay at the Boathouse. The space of the property is very well optimized. The appliances are all in good condition. Lisa was very responsive when supplies were missing or low (even over the holidays). The bedding in the rooms was very comfortable. The description was slightly misleading (we thought the downstairs room had a King PLUS 2 twins but it actually was just 2 twins that could be moved together to make a King). Luckily my son was able to sleep on the sofa bed in the living room. We would love to visit again in the spring or summer when we can enjoy the beautiful, spacious deck.

A little miss leading

I thought the bedroom descriptions were miss leading. It appeared at first glance one bedroom had a king bed AND 2 twins. Not so. The child’s bedroom was a foam mattress on the floor, in a closet under a staircase. My son and his wife had to sleep with 4 year old. Other than those 2 concerns, it was a lovely home and the host answered messages promptly.

Relaxing Boat House Cottage with Modern Rustic Charm

I stayed at this cozy boathouse cottage on Lake Sammamish during a work trip, and it exceeded my expectations. The space was clean, new, and well-maintained, with a perfect blend of modern rustic lake cabin vibes. It had ample room for two, but could easily accommodate a few more. The deck was great for dinner or just relaxing in the afternoon sun, and the property is right next to a walking and biking trail. Lisa, the property host, was responsive and a pleasure to interact with. Highly recommended for both work and leisure stays!

Great accommodations for our family

We stayed here with our adult children and three grandchildren while we were in Washington for a family birthday party. Relax and breathe it in

When I read the story of how the Boat House was found on a walk through the neighborhood, basically abandoned and "dysfunctional," it was hard to believe. I looked up and saw a spacious living room decked out in beach-themed gear, a hallway leading to several rooms in one direction and a beautiful view onto Lake Sammamish in the other. How could this place ever be anything less than lovely? My wife and I stayed here for three days while I was at work in Issaquah - a sort of working vacation. It felt fantastic to come "home" to such a welcoming, relaxing place. The beds are comfortable and the living room is a great space to just relax and enjoy the atmosphere. Did the TV work? I'm not sure - we never felt the need to turn it on. Though we did use the electric fireplace every night we stayed and that worked just fine. I'm familiar with the Issaquah area so it was also nice to be able to enjoy my many favorite restaurants while we were staying there - Tiger Mountain Coffee and the Well and Table come highly recommended. Our host, Lisa, was responsive and very accommodating. When I asked if my daughter, who lives nearby, could join us for a night her response was quick and simple: "Absolutely yes!" While we never saw her, I always felt like she was available if we needed anything. The Boat House is a standout example of how a formerly "dysfunctional" house can turn into a lovely home away from home. I hope we get the opportunity to stay here again.
