The property is super attractive. 24 hour coffee/tea station (cops were inside at 9pm relaxing on their computers enjoying coffee). Large rooms for the family (we were in 312). The SHOWER. oh glorious pressure! Makes anybody forget the less than updated shower tub enclosure. Liquor store is super close by.

The parking is horrible very small spaces and limited. Was not greeted at all upon arrival and she actually stopped to help someone with questions in the middle of doing our check in. Room was tight door to bedroom wouldnt shut without moving the bed.and door didnt stay closed.

The hotel is nice and they do a good job of mainting the immediate area but if you need to go to a convenience store the 2 that are close by are extremely sketchy and unsafe

Comfortable once inside but unsafe neighborhood
This hotel is comfortable but it is not in a safe neighborhood. The Alamodome is nearby but this hotel is not in a safe walkable area, especially after dark. Look carefully at the map before booking.

Great Stay for a Great Value
Within walking distance to Alamodome (literally right next to one of the parking lots) and riverwalk. Cops use it as it semi-staging ground, so never felt "unsafe" like some downtown areas can. Great variety of breakfast items.

Perfect location for the Alamodome, River walk. Just nervous with the bars on everything, a lot of cops and very dirty around there. But the hotel was awesome and we felt safe there.

I keep coming back
Stay was awesome, love the location, very clean. I’ve stayed here several times. The parking lot is small and when the hotel is fully booked they only allow one car per room to park. No biggie, there’s plenty of well lit street parking.

I can’t believe it is Holiday Inn
The hotel was very old and not well kept. My room carpet was dirty looking, the bed cover , sheets was old and bed. It seems that everything need replace. Staff ok but that hotel was the worst I have ever visited with Holiday Inn.

Would stay here again.
Great location for what we did. Decently clean, comfortable & convenient. We'd stay there again on future trip. Only issue was the set up of the bathroom in our particular room. It is small and tight. The toilet is right up on the sink and the vanity is very close to the door when closing, kind of awkward. Otherwise great place.

Not bad. When I booked I’d understood it to be closer to the River walk. It was doable, but didn’t feel safe at night. Surrounding area was run down and creepy.

For the most part it was ok. They allowed us to check in an hour earlier which was nice. The room ac only went down to 60. In the day it felt kinda warm. Breakfast was good. The only thing that really killed my 5 stars is asking for housekeeping and getting to the room and not getting it, and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was a heater. So in South Texas that’s a very bad idea. No option to turn off so I literally had to shower with light off so I wouldn’t suffocate. Would I stay there again? Definitely not.

I wasn't impressed with this hotel. The lobby was very nice. The room, however, was very drab and didn't feel welcoming. The colors were dark and the lighting wasn't sufficient at all. The window shade was broken although we were told they had the part on order. Still, I wouldn't have picked that room to stay in. And if all the other rooms are similar, I definitely wouldn't have chosen to stay there.
