We stayed at Hotel Mayola for just one night. We arrived late and checked out the next morning, so our expectations were simple: a clean room, a good night’s sleep, breakfast, and a quick swim before continuing our journey. Unfortunately, almost everything about our stay was disappointing. Our first room smelled strongly of chlorine, and the shutters were broken, so we couldn’t open them or enjoy the sea view. The staff quickly moved us to another room, but that only revealed more problems. The second room had 15+ long black hairs across the floor. After a short wait, the night porter arrived with a small broom, laughed about the situation, swept away a few hairs, then asked me to point out the ones he’d missed. Hardly a professional response. The bathroom also had a severe sewage smell that made even a quick visit unpleasant. When we reported it, the staff didn’t seem surprised and made no attempt to fix it or offer another room. It even made us wonder whether the chlorine smell in our first room was masking the same issue. To finish the stay, we had planned a quick swim before checking out. However, the pool officially opens at 9:00 a.m., that is also when the lifeguard starts cleaning it. If you’re checking out at morning, don’t expect to actually use the pool without waiting +10-20 min first. The area is beautiful, and there’s an excellent restaurant just down the street. But I cannot recommend staying at Hotel Mayola. Stay in the area but sleep somewhere else.

An experience I would definitely do again!

Had a fantastic experience at Hotel Mayola. The staff is friendly and really kind, they made us feel right at home. The breakfast had good variety from focaccias, to scramble eggs, cakes, fruit salads, and everything both an Italian and a British or American person would eat. Room was cleaned everyday to a high standard, the view from the balcony was fantastic and the hotel itself is literally 2 steps from the beach. They also have a sea water pool between the hotel and the beach which makes the experience extra special in days where the sea might be a bit too wavy. San Bartolomeo al Mare is a quiet and chill town, which is exactly what we needed. Everything is near by, lots of restaurants right next to the hotel as well as gelaterias, little grocery store and roughly 15 mins walk from the town of Cervo. Overall a great experience and I will be definitely coming back next year to Hotel Mayola. Great place, great location and very friendly staff. A special thanks to Anna, Nicola and all the rest of the staff for making us feel welcome and enhancing our relaxing experience.

Overvej en ekstra gang før booking. - det koster 27 euro pr/dag for to liggestole ved hotellets egen pool. Det er gratis at bruge vandet i poolen, men ikke at ligge på liggestolene. - morgenmadsbuffet har været halvtom alle 3 morgener med besked om “finito” ved forespørgsel om opfyldning, f.eks. af æg, pølser eller nutella uanset om kl. var 0800 eller 09.00. - værelse ekstremt lydt. Kunne høre, hvad naboværelset talte om og så i fjernsynet. - værelse var okay rengjort bortset fra aftørret snot og bussemænd på væggen over hovedpuden. Det er så også ok klamt. - hyppige strømafbrydelser, herunder elevator. Forholdsvis irriterende med elevatornedbrud, når man bor på 4. Sal. Flere gæster har generelt brokket sig over hotellets forhold og personalet virker på ingen måde overrasket. Jeg vil aldrig booke dette hotel igen, og har boet på utallige hoteller i Italien, men aldrig oplevet en standard af så dårlig karakter. Prisen matcher på ingen måde hotellets manglende kvalitet. Hvordan hotellet er kategoriseret som 3 stjerner er mig en gåde.

Väldigt slitet hotell med minimal hiss. Duschkabinen var så liten att man knappt får plats. Läget är väldigt bra och poolen precis vid stranden är mycket bra. Frukosten var dålig.

Der Pool und der Strand waren super. Das Morgenessen halt „Italienisch“ Nachtessen hatten wir ausserhalb des Hotels eingenommen, jedoch am letzten Abend hatten wir ein Risotto welches sehr, sehr gut war. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Betreuung an der Reception war vorbildlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer mit der Klimaanlage waren ausreichend ausgestattet. Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer hat noch Potential nach oben, der Boden wurde nicht so sauber gemacht, Kies welches wir vom Strand her mitbrachten, war 3 Nächte lang zu sehen. Kittfugen in den Nasszellen müssen ersetzt werden, diese sind nicht mehr schön. Im Grossen und Ganzen hatten wir einen tollen und angenehmen Aufenthalt.

Hade bokat ett rum för 2 nätter och såg framemot att få upptäcka en del av Italien. När vi kom dit och fick tillgång till rummet så var det väldigt varmt på på rummet. Hade kollat innan bokning att luftkonditionering fanns då det var 31 grader ute. Försökte få igång den men inget hände och vi höll på att smälta bort av värmen. Fick till slut efter diskussion med receptionen byta rum där luftkonditioneringen fungerade. Tycker inte att bilderna på rummen stämmer så bra överens med verkligheten. Hade bokat rum med havsutsikt men såg mer av träd och det smutsiga taket nedanför än hav. Hotellet är dessutom väldigt lyhört, många smäller hårt i dörrarna och prat hörs genom väggarna. Upplevde också att det var dålig information på hotellet. Hotellet har en pool med solstolar som tydligen inte ingår för hotellgäster utan man måste betala extra för. Man får bada men inte sitta kvar och sola utan extra kostnad, något som vi inte fick någon information om. Vi kom dit med bil och det finns parkeringar längs med gatan bredvid hotellet men det är begränsat med platser, hotellet har dock en annan parkering 500m bort mot lite högre kostnad. Överlag är vi besvikna över vår vistelse på hotel Mayola och kan inte rekommendera ett besök här.

Chambre exiguë... Matelas du lit complètement creusé, climatisation extrêmement bruyante et isolation phonique inexistante dans l'hôtel... Heureusement que nous n'avons passé qu'une seule nuit car nous avons très mal dormi.

Considerando il costo mi aspettavo di più!

Gli Hotel in Liguria hanno un rapporto qualità / prezzo davvero disastroso in generale. Quindi la mia valutazione è influenzata molto dal prezzo pagato. Troppo elevato per la qualità dei servizi offerti. Credo che sia un problema generale delle località costiere liguri rispetto a tanti altri posti sia in Italia che all'estero. Nel complesso ho trovato la pulizia discreta, sicuramente con ampi margini di miglioramento ma la situazione non era disastrosa. Abbastanza fornita la colazione e anche economica. Camere e bagni molto piccoli. L'aria condizionata non era funzionante. Molto bella la piscina direttamente sulla spiaggia.

Värt pengarna

Medelklasshotell med superbra service. All personal är vänlig och hjälpsam. Ligger direkt vid strandenpromenaden med egen pool och strand. Bra frukostbuffé. Gratis parkering ca 600meter från hotellet. Det vi kan anmärka på: 27 euro för två solsängar var i överkant. Lyhört! Du hör allt som händer i korridoren.

Lamentablemente, mi estancia en este hotel no fue buena. El desayuno fue muy básico y de baja calidad, con pocas opciones frescas. La piscina no la incluye se paga separado. La habitación no es realmente como se ve en las fotos, la limpieza estaba OK, el Toilette se mueve, realmente ese hotel necesita renovación. Lo peor fue el aire acondicionado, que hacía mucho ruido durante toda la noche y dificultó el descanso y también se escuchaba Ruido de todo. No volvería a hospedarme aquí, creo que hay mejores opciones por el mismo precio o por menos.

Das Zimmer im 3. Stock wahr OK, aber das WC und die Dusche ist so eng, das kein normales Duschen ohne kleben am Duschvorhang und ein normales sitzten auf dem WC möglich wahr. Das Frühstück war Super mit einer sehr grossen Auswahl. Das Personal wahr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich.

Vorrei ma non posso!

La camera che doveva essere doppia aveva due letti singoli, il bagno veramente minuscolo e neanche il frigobar attrezzato! Invece faccio i complimenti sia alla titolare, in quanto ci ha gentilmente omaggiato di 2 lettini nella loro spiaggia anche se non era tenuta a farlo, GRAZIE MILLE, e al personale che ci hanno prontamente aiutato nel problema Adria condizionata! Grazie! Peccato che vicino a noi nelle stanze c’erano famiglie con bambini molto maleducati (di più i genitori nel fare casino) e l’insonorizzazione delle camere è inesistente! Peccato!
