"Ken and Alejandra have built a mountain paradise. The accommodations are first rate and their grounds are amazing. The breakfasts are excellent with fresh grown and made foods. It is more of a bed and breakfast than a hotel. They are in the mountains north of San Jose. We had a rental car and no problems moving around. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend Finca Paraiso!"

"This was a real gem to find and provided an enjoyable place to stay on an unplanned trip to San Jose. Only 4 blocks to the US Embassy/Consulate which was the purpose of our trip. The host was absolutely wonderful and the owner provided excellent advice regarding navigating the area and issues we had to deal with (covid testing, local transportation, etc). "Tía welcomed us with a big smile and juice. Our room was super clean, as was the shared bathroom. We saw her work from sunrise to sunset. Great breakfast and excellent coffee. She was the highlight of our stay because she was so amazing. We had to leave super early in the morning and she brought us bananas, cookies, and juice for the road. What we did not like is the fact they charge a substantial fee for late arrival (we arrived around 11pm).
