It's a 2 bedroom stay

The place is not meant for 6 people. It has two bedrooms and two beds so good for two couples without kids.We were 6 of us and 1 person ended up going to stay in a hotel as it was too crammed. The host is very helpful though. The place only had 3 comforters and on request she got us 3 more comforters the same day.

Stay at Fion's house in San Mateo

Overall we had a good time in the house while we were there for 5 days. The house is really nice, but there were small things that could have been better. Kitchen utensils were limited and given that there is not centeral heating, all space heaters had to be on. They were effective but we had to move with us sometimes. The hosts are good at communicating over messages. We had some questions during the stay and they were very prompt in getting us help. I would recommend this place for a small family to stay.

Great Base

The property is as described, a great base if you want to be near the Caltrain in San Mateo. Good comms with owner. Basic but perfectly adequate, very few kitchen utensils as noted in most comments.

Worst Experience. DO NOT stay here

This house was absolutely awful. When we arrived, there was full blown construction going on in the backyard. It seemed that they were building a shed or garage. The owners told us the construction would only last a few days, but it was going on the entire time we stayed. It did not feel like I had any privacy with 1-4 guys going in and out of the backyard constantly. We heard drills, saws and other power tools running everyday. Besides the construction, the house barely functioning. There were no trash cans onsite. We stayed for 3 weeks and to cart off all out trash. The shower handle was broken so it was either very hot or luke warm. There was very few utensils or cooking supplies, ,making it very difficult to use the kitchen. If three people wanted coffee we had to wait since only two mugs were provided for a house that sleeps 5. There is one regular knife in the drawer that we all had to share constantly. The one huge problem besides these inconveniences was that the house had no central heating. We would wake up and the house would be 45 degrees. It was absolutely freezing and miserable. If I had any option to move I would have left after the first week. The owners don’t care to respond. They responded once to let me know when construction would be completed (which was incorrect). DON’T STAY IN THIS HOUSE. IT IS NOT WORTH THE AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY CHARGE.
