Absolutely magical
Absolutely perfect - from communications with Robin, to arrival, enjoyment, and checkout. The pictures really don't do this justice - the views are stunning and house is so cozy and beautifully appointed. The property is... wow! It felt special to be able to enjoy it. Never saw another person. Thank you to the owner for sharing this magical place. We are already planning our return.

The Pecos cliff house has an absolutely beautiful view ! The place was well kept and clean. A very responsive owner if you had any questions. We would definitely recommend renting the jeep for a few days it adds to the experience!👍

Best vacation ever
Wife and i were there first week in August. I haven’t entered my review mainly due to inability to put the experience into words. We kept pinching ourselves to make sure it wasn’t a dream and that we were really there. The house itself is awesome and perfect in every way. The view was incredible along with the solitude never turned on TV. Never turned on music turned off our phones and simply enjoyed the natural setting. Looking forward to another trip Definitely worth it

This is an outstanding property. We always look for unique private locations and this was it. Makes you feel like you are the only people around but yet easy access to the interstate. Views were gorgeous. Nice outdoor spaces. Area by river well kept. House was perfect. By far the best stocked house we have ever stayed in. Literally only need to bring your clothes and food. Host was very responsive and helpful. Needs more than 5 stars!!!

Magnificent!
What a beautiful property! We had a spectacular stay, everything was wonderful. Thank you for the river tubes, kayaks, and canoe. We were so happy to be allowed to bring our fur babies. Robin, the host, was very communicative. We will stay again and again!

Perfect Getaway Spot!
This place is truly breathtaking! Very clean, well stocked with all you could need including, extra fishing rods, gear, life jackets, kayaks, roll away bed, fans and the list goes on. Owner is great at keeping in communication and was very helpful in giving us fishing tips. Majestic views and just a short walk down some stairs to a huge natural picnic area right along the rivers edge. Picnic benches and firepit make this a great area to lounge while fishing. There are also some great trails to explore along the rivers edge. We will definitely be making our way back to this fantastic place if they will have us again!

Great time at Pecos Cliff House
This was our second stay at the Cliff House. We had a wonderful time again. The host is awesome-keeps in communication and answers questions quickly. This is one of those too good to be true kind of places. If you've never been, you're in for a treat.

AMAZING!!!!
We were in awe the entire stay! It was magical! Your own, very private, resort! The views and property in general is phenomenal! Very comfortable accommodations! Well stocked with everything you need! Robin was very nice and gave immediate attention to any questions or needs! The only downside was that we weren’t there long enough! Next time we will be! We love this place so much!

Our third stay. We celebrate our wedding anniversary here and love every minute of it. Very quiet, great fireplace, nice walks along the River, awesome night sky’s for star gazing and a steam bath! Robin is very responsive and accommodating. Will be back next year!

Jack and Diane give this property a 4 paws up! They loved the views, the heated floor, but they particularly loved the circularness of the home. They were very joyful when they discovered that they could chase each other thru every room creating a circular race track lol, their people love everything about the home, property and views! We even saw a bald eagle searching for fish along the Pecos river outside the amazing glass doors facing the amazing views!

Best Views Ever
The views 360 around the house were amazing. Perfect area away from the hustle and bustle. Very beautiful and peaceful. Nothing like watching the sunrise over the distant mountains from the back patio. Best vacation ever.

it's all connected!
This property and our stay was full of connections! The house is designed so to be a connected circle of rooms which made the utilization of the bathroom feasible (it does take some doing!) for 3 couples. Visitors can easily connect with a lovely living space, beautiful outdoor "park" and the Pecos River. We connected with family and friends living near by as the property was perfect for hosting a large daytime reunion, birthday dinner or quiet family day! I have rarely been in a kitchen so well stocked with equipment and utensils. the butlers pantry made for easy staging of the food needed for large meals (16 folks) at various times. The house was warm and so comfortable, we were glad to be stuck inside when wind and snow hit.

This property is amazing! It was clean, well stocked and secluded. We did not want to leave. The Christmas tree and decorations were a nice touch of home. We would love to come back in the summer when the river is flowing and we can fish. My dog also had a great time exploring. Highly recommend!

Transformation of Souls
The moment we stepped into the Pecos River Cliff House & engulfed ourselves in the views we knew this was a gift & welcomed every moment. Our lives are always busy back home so we were blessed & received our quiet time with serene surroundings. We fished, explored the park-like area below the house, enjoyed the hammock while reading, sat on the dock with our feet dipping into the river, & played horseshoes. You can float down the river if adventurous. Our breakfast & lunch were served on the patio with views of the canyon & wildlife. A short ride into Santa Fe with its history & fabulous restaurants awaited us & was never disappointing. Take time to look at what might be enjoyable for you on their website. There's much to see & explore. Bike tours, train rides, guided tours & nightlife with music accompanied by great wines. We are grateful Robin & his wife shared their beautiful home with us. Their home is fully stocked for visitors. Any time we had a question they were there for us. We hope your visit transforms your soul. We will be making our return trip soon. They aptly call New Mexico "The Enchanted Place" & yes we agree.

Location location location
As the title says…location! Whoever designed this property didn’t design it by accident. Start with the position of the house, overlooking the Pecos River and the huge glass windows that allows you to listen to all the wildlife with only the screen doors, you can hear the water crashing over the dam, and my favorite…watching the sunrise from bed! Stayed there 3 years ago, stayed again very recently, and I hope this place stays forever cause I’ll be back again!

A World to Our Own
The ease of arrival through our departure was well organized. Any questions we had were quickly answered during our vacation. The Pecos House was well equipped for our pleasure. The extraordinary views from the rear patio & where one might catch a glimpse of an eagle. Have you explored a million miles of forestry? They offer a rental jeep to aid you in your quest! The park feature below the house opens into a meadow of greenery. Hammocks, horseshoes, kayaks with life jackets, fire-pits with wood to burn, & all underneath the canopy of the trees while the Pecos River rewards us with its rippling sounds. Fishing was definitely worth its challenges. Santa Fe is not far & offers its treasures of the past. The oldest Mission church built about between 1610-1626 & Cristo Rey, the largest adobe church housing the oldest altar screen in America. Visit the Governors Palace which is the oldest government building in America. The Cathedral is a must see. We highly recommend the fiestas & the hot air balloons for the adventurous types. History buffs will love the Civil War forts to explore. If you're looking for an entertainment destination we highly recommend The Pecos House. It definitely has a beautiful natural scenery in this enchanting place. We will repeat our adventure soon........

Even with the park trails and fishing spots closed due to the fires (Pecos Natl Historical Park is open) including the Monastery lake and the mighty monsoon weather churning up the river none of this mattered that much. Our 5 days at the house and on the river were as relaxing as usual just with different distractions. Check the parks info as they were opening up some trails further afield.

Fabulous property; conscientious host
Had an absolutely amazing time at the cliff house. Everything at the house was perfect and it was very clear just how much effort they’ve put into ensuring their guests have everything they could need. The view is AMAZING. Robin was fantastic; great communicator and incredibly helpful. Our plans to hike in Pecos were thrown off due to the fires but we didn’t even miss it. Had an amazing time.

I have been trying to stay at the Pecos River Cliff house for many years but it was always booked. I finally was able to reserve a few days and was not disappointed. The home offers all the essentials needed for a comfortable vacation. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook (minus the food), the bathrooms provide all necessary items for grooming, and the riverfront has the items (tubes, kayaks, canoe, and fishing poles) needed for a fun time in the river. The home is well maintained and clean, providing a comfortable place to sit back and relax. Access to the river is right out the back door. A quick walk down the well maintained stairs will have you in the water in no time. Even though the home sits on a cliff above the river, you still have views of the water from most of the house and back patio. This is great in the morning when rolling out of bed and for some tea or coffee. The host of the property was very responsive before and during our stay. Robin kept me up to date on the large fires burning in the forest (about 20 miles from the property) and provided insights on its impact to the area. I was surprised that the fire had zero affect on my stay. The sky was clear and no smell of smoke. Robin also provided details of the area with great recommendations for floating the river. I recommend this house and if you do have the opportunity to stay you will do the same.

This is our 2nd stay which says a lot. We celebrated our 20th anniversary there last year and it was so memorable we celebrated our21st there this year. It is a beautiful property, gorgeous home, great amenities, well stocked for cooking, awesome views, great fire place, tub and steam/shower. Robin is a great and very responsive host. We had a minor maintenance issue which was resolved quickly! Robin even had 21 white roses delivered before we arrived. 21 for each year of marriage. We will be back!!!

Too many great things to list, Robin is by far the best host I’ve ever encountered since using VRBO! Very responsive, super polite, and had everything prepared before our arrival! From the scenic views to being able to go sightseeing in the jeep rental, my kids and wife had the best time. Rock painting, hiking, playing with snow during spring break was all very enjoyable for my family and I. Definitely a must stay when in New Mexico!!! Trust me!
