I spent over $1500 at this resort for a 3 nights stay and the room was deplorable. We had soiled sheets that were not changed from the previous guests that had bodily fluids and blood on them. as well as bugs in the restroom with lukewarm shower water. The lamp shades alll throughout the room were clearly weathered, old and dingy and haven’t been cleaned or replaced in years. The overall room conditions for what I paid just did not live up to the standards and expectations that I would expect from a Wyndham property let alone resort. Really put a damper on our weekend birthday experience and surprise I booked for my boyfriend

The property was beautiful and the staff was excellent, they were honestly the highlight of the trip. The food was good but we wish there were more options during the breakfast buffet and for more mid days snacks or appetizers. The pools and lounging areas around them were kept moderately clean and the service was again exceptional while outside. The beach was beautiful and very walkable. The transportation was a little hard to understand, they did not notify us upon arrival that we needed to request a airport shuttle 48 hours in advance so we ended up having to use a taxi service last minute that was quite expensive. The room was the worst part, even though we were told we were “upgraded” to a nicer room with an ocean view, it was extremely dirty and smelled of mildew and sweat. The second day maids cleaned a lot better and it was more tolerable, but still felt cheap and old. That being said the staff themselves made up for any inconvenience, they were all lovely and very fun to be around.

The property was beautiful overall. Unfortunately, the room was musty and moldy. Asked for new sheets the first day due to them being dirty and never received any. Requested blankets 3 times throughout the day and finally received them on the 3rd call to the front desk around 9pm. I finally couldn't take the mold and musty smell of the room anymore and requested a new room. That's when I got a lesson on humidity and condensation but when I explained that I had pictures and video's of the mold they finally gave us a new room. My daughter ended up getting sick due to the room and we had to leave 2 days early when her symptoms got worse. The staff was overall amazing but the front desk seemed to care less about our issues. I would expect this from a low star hotel but not a resort that you are paying a good penny for. Just disappointed overall :(

When we got to our room,there was a smell and we literally had to air out our room daily,we believe it was coming from the air conditioner and it looked like our room needed a deep clean,so we reported the whole cleanliness thing to the front desk and they sent someone to do a deep clean. It was easy to navigate the resort,which was nice. Would probably stay here again the food is very limited and expensive but other than that it was an overall good experience.

Wynham Grand Rio Hotel is by far the best hotel experience l have ever had. I have to saythat the customers service was top of the line(At least my experience). They accomodated when needed and was very generous too. So clean, smells amazing when you walk in, relaxing, no overcrowding of people, easy flow, ready to help at every change. Meals for breakfast was amazing, complimentary upon arrival with champagne the esthetics...l could go on and on. Customer sercice was 10/10. I will be back there, guaranteed. Hope this encourages. The Wyndham was wonderful- beautiful grounds and great staff. We enjoyed the variety of restaurants and bars throughout the resort and loved the pool and beach area. The one and only downside was our bathroom sink wouldn’t drain at all, but that was minor in comparison to everything else. I would definitely recommend going there.

This location was just far away enough from the city to make it feel private. Beautiful well kept grounds and Golf course. The rooms were comfortable and our ocean view was top notch! The service was very slow in the restaurants and bars but all employees were talkative very friendly. The casino was small and only one shop to browse. The prices for food and drinks were expensive. Never figured out how to work the espresso machine in our room.( I miss the drip) So 2 large coffees will cost between $15-$20. They also hold $495 when you get there to cover any damages so check your credit limit or that will eat up your spending money. The beach was nice. Kind of murky and lots of waves. Very handy to be able to rent umbrellas for shade. Beautiful shell collecting on my morning walks.. very close to El yucca rain forest

The resort is beautiful and the access to the beach is amazing! Every restaurant we tried was delicious, the staff were all very friendly and welcoming. It was not crowded at all, the resort was quiet and peaceful. Multiple pools and fun activities for everyone to enjoy. Would definitely stay here again!

The worst room I have ever stayed in. For $650 a night you get moldy and super dirty rooms. All the sheets were dirty when we checked in. Asked the front desk to send someone to change them (He was very nice and helpful), room was soo stinky and hard to breathe in due high presence of mold. I'm not that kind of person to ask for refund or write bad reviews but for the amount you pay for room definitely not worth it. I would never stay there even if someone pays me

Overall lovely place to stay in Peurto Rico! Felt safe. Beautiful views. Loved proximity to Rainforest, beach/ocean and pools. Tripped on a piece of cement walkway on way from pool area to beach (sections of concrete were not level to each other) and thankfully was not hurt badly, but was sore for a day. The staff were always helpful, attentive and pleasant! Our room was lovely but had a musty smell, likely due to the high humidity?
