"The rooms were clean, staff hard working and genuinely wanted to make us happy. We decided to upgrade to an ocean front room and were charged $35 US a night for this. Not sure it was worth this cost.Special thanks to Claudio, Jean Paul, Carlos and all of the entertainment staff. The evening shows were energetic, very well choreographed with alot of talent. Food was good, we enjoyed the Japanese restaurant very much. So many wonderful restaurants in Tamarindo its worth paying for a few good meals out (Antichi Sapori, Eanas, Dragonfly and Fish and Cheeses are some of our faves!). Spent hours watching the surfers on the beach...so impressive. With the surf, the beach is not great for swimming but morning walks are wonderful. And the pool is great."

"From the moment we booked, the customer service was great. Both Henry and Juan were a pleasure to deal with. They helped arrange transportation from La Fortuna to the hotel, as well as to the airport in Liberia for a decent price. Staff were friendly and they had a good selection for breakfast. The location is great, it’s quiet but in the heart of downtown just minutes to the beach. All in all I would recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Tamarindo at a fair price. "

"Ocho Artisan Bungalows was fanatastic! My partner and I were there foir 3 nights, but wished we had more time! I was a bit on edge as we got there - it's on a dirt road, no lobby (just an office), and no one had ever heard of it! so I wasn't sure what we were walkiing into. But, we were immediately greeted by Ilsa and Seyu (sorry about the spelling) - who made us feel totally welcome. The bungalows are completely unique - very modern amenities, but with an airy and artistic feel - almost like a tent (but it's not). The pool area is an oasis of calm and quiet - surrounded by luscious greenery, complete with daybeads - makes for a very peaceful day in the sun. The beach and beach club are great. We had round oversized day beds reserved for us - and the staff moved umbrella's so we were in the shade. The beach is incredible - beautiful sand, big waves to play in. Along with that, there is great food and delicious drinks - and Tanya, in her cowboy hat made everything even better! This is a small place and the best part is the staff - isla took such good care of us - it was like being part of a family. We really appreciated everything that she did for us. This is not a generic hotel - so if you are looking for a standard big chain - this is not it. But, if you are looking for a small, intimate, beautiful resort with impeccible service and attention to detail - this is the place to be. Couldn't recommend it enough! "

"Clean room, gorgeous pool, and an amazing daily breakfast—especially the lattes. The location is perfect: close to town and the beach, so getting around was easy. We saw at least 10 monkeys on the property every morning, which was such a fun surprise. Super cute place overall. Would absolutely come back with a group of friends and stay here again."
