"We just spent four wonderful days at Ocho Bungalows! The location is perfect right in the beach with beautiful bungalows in a jungle setting or beside the refreshing pool. The staff are amazing, all so friendly and outgoing offering amazing service all the time. The food is delicious and the drinks even better. A huge thank you to all the staff and to an exceptionally wonderful concierge Isla! You all made our stay a great experience and are very much looking forward to coming back soon! Thank you all!!"

"Beautiful oasis in the midst of Tamarindo. Amazing staff, gorgeous pool area and tropical gardens. Great bungalow accommodation with excellent privacy and amenities. Attentive owner was helpful in giving tips about the area. Loved every minute of our stay and will definitely return. Highly recommended!"

"Same menu for the entire stay, with not much variation... so-so snacks. The chicken nuggets and hamburgers were awful. Room had no view- just looking at palm trees. Did not feel welcomed at all. Everyone seemed to have a chip on their shoulder... "

"Gorgeous setting, incredible sunsets, friendly staff. We loved looking out from our balcony or the infinity pools onto the bioreserve jungle below. We had an upper floor room (#9) right next to a tree that regularly had birds and howler monkeys coming through. Very peaceful. Spacious room. The food and drinks are at US resort-level prices, and there are no other places to eat within a 15-minute walk, so plan accordingly. The shuttle into town works well for daytime beach visits or lunch out, but the last shuttle back is at about 4:30 so if you stay in town for dinner you need to take a tuck-tuk back (uber not available here)."

"I LOVED staying here and if I come back to Costa Rica, this would be where I would want to stay. Johnny at the front desk was absolutely magic. Any problem that we had, he had a solution for. We needed some sea sick medication but our tour got back late and everything was closed. I messaged him at the front desk using WhatsApp around 11PM and he went out and found us some! Another night, it was a night tour and by the time we got back, all the restaurants were closed. We asked him what we should do and he called in a pizza for us while we were on the tour, set the pizza on warmers for us, and then delivered it right to our room. He is excellent and definitely made the experience for us! We actually were upset to be leaving to another city in CR, and all of my friends joked about wanting to take Johnny with us. The beach access with the complimentary sunset drinks were amazing. They had chairs with umbrellas (thank goodness!) so we were able to sit while the sun was blazing. And then, the attendee there brought us cold towels. Amazing! The free breakfast was also amazing with the free option of a prepacked one if your tour leaves early. Honestly, it was some of the best food we’ve had in Tamarinda (a lot of the restaurants in town were a bust :( ) Overall, I absolutely would stay again. "
