Clean room, helpful and courteous staff. Transit to the centre of Madrid one block away. It was a short walk to a small mall with some nice stores and some goods eats.

The pros: Staff was very helpful - top notch. They were able to accommodate an early check in without issue. Offered great recommendations for dinner. The daily breakfast was fresh and delicious, served in a beautiful room. The hotel location was excellent and central to all the sights.
The cons: The trash bin in the bathroom still had discarded hygiene products in it when we checked in. The staff was still in the hall so they were able to attend to it right away but super gross nonetheless. The bathroom door is made of glass with golden designs throughout so you can't totally see in but if you prefer privacy when you use the bathroom, you will have to adjust expectations. Finally, the air conditioning was off when we arrived (mid-November) but the heat was on. There was no way to cool the room down - we asked. This made for uncomfortable sleeps.
Good enough value for the location.

Beautiful location
Lovely hotel in a beautiful location. Nice room, not the usual rectangular box with a bathroom take out of one corner.
