"This was incredible. If you are looking for a 5 star resort this may not be for you , but if you want a real authentic experience with an incredible view , I mean incredible. (This is saying a lot as I am from Alaska and have a high level of expectation for views ) the family that runs the base camp and restraint were so sweet this was one of the most memorable stays I’ve had in my life. "The owners spoke English and helped us with anything we needed. They also helped us to a free meal one of the nights. This camp is right at the entrance of Humanatay lake and is right along the Salkantay path. Also to be noted there was HOT water and excellent shower pressure. Probably our best stay along the way!!!"

"I had the most wonderful stay before and after the Choquequirao trek, and in fact the stay before was so wonderful and hospitable that I completed the trek a day early so I could return for one more night. The hosts are so sweet and thoughtful, and Katherine went above and beyond when I returned from the trek a bit sick, offering me honey for my tea from their personal kitchen area. The hammock is the perfect place to relax, as are the terraces or patios available outside every room. The rooms are cozy and spacious, and the animals on the grounds are the icing on the cake if you, like me, enjoy petting a bunny on occasion! "
