San Pedro Del Espino Holidays

The hotel is in a great location close to everything and connected to megapolis outlets mall. However the staff at Decapolis must do better , we were provided two rooms one of which the thermostat could not be changed to make the temperature comfortable therefore my parents room (seniors by the way )remained freezing so unfortunately my mother developed a cold even with assistance from one of the staff to fix the issue , the rooms were not provided with washcloths or irons although there was an ironing board we had to request both items and initially I was told they would be “provided shortly “I had waited an hour and never received it which resulted in me having to go down to the front desk to request and was told again verbally I would receive them this time , after explaining I was already told this information prior an hour ago when I called the front desk . The breakfast buffet was just okay , not as much variety as I thought there would. The temperature of the food was not hot enough and majority of our stay the tables offered to us were never cleared off of the previous customers plates so we often needed to wait over 15 mins at times while already seated for it to be cleaned which made no sense. Staff seems very unorganized . This hotel is not luxury and needs a lot of work as far as renovations lastly there’s a moldy smell that lingers from the bathrooms. I don’t plan to stay again unfortunately, stay at the Riu, Hilton or in Casco Viejo

The hotel is in a really good location, is fairly clean, the breakfast buffet is really nice and the rooms are fairly clean and comfortable. However; I felt a bit disappointed that the hotel management wants to just focus on making money. I stayed here for a entire week and I told them that on my last day, my flight is later in the evening and if they could allow me to check out a bit later in the afternoon. They flat out refused and asked for $100 to let me check out at 4 pm. That tells me that it wasn't a availability issue because they were willing to let me stay till 4 pm for a extra $100. This is bad business. If I stayed for just a couple of days, that would have been a different story. I stayed at this hotel for a full week and paid around $1000 for my stay - showing some courtesy to the hotel guests and allowing them to checkout a bit later goes a long way to build goodwill and earn more business.

My room was dirty. There were no washcloths and there was some mold on the walls. We had a platform bed and the mattress didn’t extend the full width of the platform. You can see the mold in the box spring.

Everything was perfect. Loved the gym.
