San Sebastian is afascinating city and a symbol of Basqueculture and cuisine. This coastal city is located in the Basque Country, anautonomous community of Spain. All year San Sebastianis a hub of activity, with film and music festivals, religious celebrations,theatrical performances, beach parties and buzzing nightclubs. This attractiveand ornate city is a dream come true for photographers, thanks to its 19thCentury architecture, beautiful beaches and surrounding mountain landscape.

Pay a visit to the 18th Centurylighthouse and enjoy incredible views over the bay. If you’re travelling withlittle ones, pay a visit to Monte Igueldo, an old-fashioned amusement park. Hereyou’ll find all the classic rides that will keep the kids entertained forhours.

The town has three beaches, all within the confinesof the bay, of which Playa de la Concha is the largest. Play sports on thegolden sands, learn to surf at Playa Zurriola or rent a canoe at Ondarreta. Stretchout on the beach or get carried away by the waves with a little windsurfing whilestaying at one of the city’s gorgeous beach resorts.

Unwind in one of the many green spaces of SanSebastián. Parque Cristina Enea is a great place for a strolland a picnic, while the gardens of the Royal Palace Miramar offer stunning viewsover the Playa de la Concha and Ondaretta.

Discover the best in the Basquecuisine, especially the pintxos, the Basque equivalent of tapas. Feast on delicioussquid, anchovies, wild mushrooms and other fresh regional produce. Enjoy aglass of cider with your pintxos before hitting the bars in the old town centre,where you can dance to anything from salsa music to modern dance tracks fromtop DJs.

San Sebastian is bestexplored on foot or bicycle, meaning you can get a little exercise and freshair thrown into the mix too. There are bike paths everywhere in the centre, butif you get tired, the bus network is cheap and easy to use.
