"Property was clean, all staff was wonderful with the exception of the bearded guy at the front desk he seemed inconvenienced by the fact we were there.. Putt Putt was nice minus the $15 per-person that was a little much. Breakfast was lacking but it was quiet and a place to lay my head."

"We visited from Germany and stayed in the cabin with my brother in law and his wife. The checkin process at the gate was very easy and we were happy to arrive safely, after an 8 hours drive from New York. The area where the cabin is located is very nice, properties are so big that you cannot see your neighbors and you can enjoy privacy. The garden is a beauty and has its own creek. My wife even saw a black bear in the garden (totally peaceful no harm, just went by) - this was here highlight of our stay. Also nice: You can use a nearby lake (10 Minutes by car) for swimming and cayaking or even use the StandupPaddling Board. For all Americans :-) who like it very cool: The aircondition is a little small and only located in the living room. In the sleeping rooms there are no ACs but you can use some ventilators. Didn't bother us, just for you as information."

"Great mountain home in a terrific location. Minutes away from Blackwater Falls for hiking, Davis and Thomas for groceries, ice cream, and restaurants and shopping-Creature art gallery was a great space to find local art. For dinner I highly recommend Canaan Valley BBQ. 10 minutes away from the house was Mountain Trail Rides for a fun way to see the mountains on horseback, or jump on the ski lift at Cannan Valley and ride the chair lift to the top. We ventured a little further away and hiked Seneca Rocks - eating at the Front Porch Restaurant is a must, visited Smoke Hole Caverns, Cass Scenic Railroad, and stopped by to see the Green Tree Observatory. Be aware that in a lot of these places you will not have cell service so unplug and enjoy the time (and maybe screenshot directions). As far as the house itself, it was great! It was well stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was great after a day of hiking. The large windows in the back were perfect for watching deer wander by. Everything seemed very clean and well maintained. The community had several nice trails to walk on, including a private entrance to Dolly Sods (which has some of the best views!). Perfect house for families or anyone who loves the outdoors"
