This is a beautiful property. We stayed there with our young adult kids. They loved it. The location was convenient to activities but also quiet and private for family dinners. The yard and outdoor sitting area is lovely.
We didn't cook but the kitchen was really well-stocked. The beds were really comfortable and we had plenty of heat and blankets! The hosts left great information that was really helpful. We would definitely stay here again!
This was our second time to stay at the cabin. We find it very comfortable and has every amenity that you will need. The owner is very gracious and friendly.
We were excited to get back up on the slopes and this was the perfect location. Being at the base and out if the city was a nice change to our usual Schweitzer experience.

It was just lovely. A nearby stream provided tranquil sounds while we sat on the deck and enjoyed each other's company and played in the big gated front yard.
House was super cute and clean. Wifi worked well, Beds were comfy and AC worked well although we found we needed to sleep with the doors open as it wasn’t central, but just one unit in the upstairs. Listing is a bit misleading as there is only beds for 6 (1 king and 2 queens) and then a small futon or couch to sleep on or blow up mattress on the floor somewhere.
Our only real problem was the Host gave us the wrong check in code so we could not get in the door and we did not have data in the United States. After paying for some US data and adding it to our phone plans we were able to message the host and thankfully received a quick response with the correct code.
We also found the check out time of 10am a bit early and when we requested a later check out of 11am which we thought was standard we were told the cleaners were coming at 10am. We understood and had all our stuff out of the house by 10am. We were hanging out on the street in front of the house moving things around in our car and figuring out what to do for the day and didn’t actually drive away until 10:30 and still had seen no sign of the cleaners. Not a huge deal, but with a big group it’s always nice to have the option of 11am check out which seems pretty standard most places.
We’d go back again with 6 or less people, not 8 and just prepare better for the earlier check out.
Great area and close to Sandpoint and activities in the area. A bit over priced especially when you consider a later check in and earlier check out than other places we have stayed. The owner did allow us to check-in earlier so we could drop our luggage before attending an event.
The chalet was perfect for a ski vacation. Very short distance to the free shuttle that took us up the mountain. The host was quick to reply when we had a problem with the coffee maker and she immediately brought a new one only after we figured out our error with the coffee maker. Would highly recommend this property for anybody that wanted to have a great time.
Great stay! We had a wonderful time in such Adorable
cabin. Lori does such a good job of supplying her cabin with extra amenities. The upstairs living area was a perfect place for opening gifts for Christmas. The cabin is in a beautiful neighborhood. we saw wild turkeys on the first day. Will definitely come back!
Very nice property. Great location. A little trouble with the electronic lock. I believe due to the sun heating up yhe doir causing it to slightly warp. Thank goodness it cools off at night, since no AC.
My husband, brother, sister in law and I stayed here for our trip to Schweitzer Mtn. The location was great, close to the mountain and close to town. Cabin had everything we needed. Comfortable, cozy and warm. No issues at all. Lori was available if needed, but everything was perfect so we didn’t have to bother her. Cabin was clean.
We celebrated my Mom's 80th birthday as she was finishing her quest to go to all 50 states (Idaho and Montana were the last ones). The house was a perfect base camp for our family! Room for 3 couples to spread out. Space to be together at the kitchen table and on the deck to play cards well into the night. Owners were attentive to any question. Highly recommend this home!
Charming mountain cabin atmosphere. Plenty of room for our 5 adults. Full kitchen with enough spices without having to buy more. Plenty of pots and utensils for cooking there. Beds comfortable. Despite sub-zero temperatures the home stayed comfortable. Has parking in driveway. Location ideal: short drive to Sandpoint for restaurants and markets. Mountain ski bus lot is a couple of blocks away and location next to Schweitzer Mountain road made for an easy drive up to ski resort. Only drawbacks were the shortage of toilet paper as we were running out on our last day, and the upstairs bathroom developed a sewer smell over the last 2 days of our stay. Had to leave a wet cloth over the shower drain to control this. if not for these 2 issues, would have been a 5 Star stay.
Property was clean and well decorated and the kitchen was well stocked. Liked Alexa device in kitchen. Bathrooms were clean and everything worked. For the senior guests, note that the major bedroom and TV area were up a tall set of stairs. And, watch out for the "slanted ceiling" upstairs. Property had a nice outdoor (west facing) deck with "sail" cover for shade and nice lawn. There was no access to the garage. Would be helpful if there were more/better instructions for TV. Property had a very inclusive "Guest Book," covering property and surroundings. Communication with Host was perfect pre-visit. On second day had an issue and had difficulty contacting Host, but, issue was resolved with no problem. This was our first time visiting Sandpoint area and was not aware of the trains running through this area. A big surprise the first time one came by. Description of property had me thinking we would be in a secluded area, it wasn't. Overall, a good location for touring Sandpoint area and Switzer Mountain ski resort.
We had a wonderful stay! This place was exactly as pictured. We had dogs and they loved playing in the large fenced yard. The deck was wonderful for relaxing and gathering around the table for outside meals. The inside was very cozy with the downstairs bedrooms separate from the primary bedroom upstairs. A cozy tv viewing area with a large couch was also great. Lots of amenities available… hair dryers, hair irons, coffee pot options, good pots and pans for cooking and cooking supplies including spices - these were very convenient. Next time, we’d love stay in the winter and go up skiing since it’s just at the base of the mountain with easy access to a shuttle service too. Owners were gracious, available and quick to respond to our needs. A
