The Sandpiper is a beautiful and newly renovated beach chic coastal cottage featuring comfortable and sophisticated decor. All of our cottages are freshly painted and have new plank tile floors, and feature all new furnishings to make your stay perfect. Enter the cottage into the bright airy queen bedroom with white shiplap walls and coral bedding. You are guaranteed a great nights sleep! Pass through the threshold into the open kitchen and living area and enjoy the new furniture and open space. Sandpiper overlooks the incredible wildlife pond where you will find our islands tropical birds, turtles and occasional lazy alligator. This is true Sanibel entertainment and not to be missed! Sandpiper has a private gazebo out the sliding doors for up close viewing. Remember feeding the gators or wildlife is NOT ALLOWED! All of our cottages have thoughtful and unique touches throughout, from the lighting to the coastal art on the walls. This a great cottage to experience "old Sanibel" charm. The beach is just a short stroll away without having to cross any streets. Experience sunsets like never before and explore the most beautiful shells in the world! Be sure the check the low tide chart for the best times for shelling. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Sandpiper my nivacation

Loved our stay at the cottage. It was a perfect getaway for 2. Short walk to a quiet beach. Convenient to restaurants and Ding Darling.We will be back!

Perfect Cottage in Perfect Location

We loved the size, location, coziness of the cottage. The proximity to the private beach was great. We even rode our bikes to Rosalita's Cantina on the days that we did not rent a golf cart. The property owner never responded to our questions about the parking pass that we found in the guest book, which, by the way, only works in the neighborhood. But parking at public beaches is only five dollars per hour. We will definitely return to this unit!

Enjoyed our stay. Perfect sized cottage for the two of us. Wish the bathroom had a shelf for cosmetic bags and dop kits, but we managed. Liked the beach access and parking pass even though it was a long walk from the parking lot to the beach. Communication with the owners was very was good. No dishwasher, no laundry facilities, no hair dryer but towels and beach chairs (too low for us old folks) were provided. Umbrella would have been nice. Lots of the island things to do were within reasonable driving distance. We would book again.

August Stay

It was typical Florida HOT! Location and Cottage was GREAT. I do have one suggestion for you. I am 6'2" 280 and the shower in #2 Sandpiper was small. If you expand the shower to fit the walk-in area it would work out a lot better. I enjoyed the cottage and area a lot. The other people that stayed in the others at the same time were also a pleasure to have around as well. Get to know you neighbors. LOL We had a storm go through two nights in a row and it knocked out the internet. I called management and they had it fixed within a hour. Very pleasant to talk to on phone and Annie who came to fix the internet. Thank you all so much.

Perfect-Everything we needed and more

My husband and I loved this property and appreciated the attention to detail and obvious care that went into this VRBO. The only critiques I would make is to upgrade the pillows as they were a bit flat and replace the beach chairs/umbrella as they were unfortunately broken. Those are just minor things though and would definitely not prevent us from staying again! :)

Cute cottage!

We loved our first time at Sanibel Island, and this cottage was perfect for the two of us. It's an adorable little cottage with so much charm. We enjoyed our alligator friend every morning out back, and took advantage of the bikes to ride to Bowman Beach.

Quaint and cute beach cottage feel

There are four units on the property and I stayed in unit 2. The unit had everything we could need (fridge, stove, televisions, beach towels, beach bikes) and is in a quiet neighborhood and the other visitors staying there were very nice and mature. One very cool aspect is that a short bike ride takes you to an essentially private, neighborhood beach. We would stay again.

Very clean cottage. Literally two minute bike ride to the beach. Multiple bikes to choose from. Nice laundry room. Boogie boards and other beach equipment available in the laundry room. Looking to book again for next year!

Very Cute & Comfy!

Overall the experience met or exceeded our expectations! The only issues were minimal (bedroom tv and living room lamp did not work, fridge leaked water inside and the hardware on the inside of the door to secure the blinds was sharp and cut our fingers). These issues did not take away from the trip at all, and we just wanted to mention so they could be looked at. We loved our stay and will definitely be back to the cottages!

Perfect for us.

The Alligator in the backyard was perfect! Loved the location and the private beach. We did not want the large Hotel get away. This was the best vacation ever. We love nature and we was surrounded by it!

Cute Cottage

Cute cottage. Had an issue with ants in the kitchen but the property manager took care of it and sent someone out that same day. Bathroom wasn’t super clean, there was long brown hair in the corners. The shower is about the size of a RV shower. So if you are a larger person, you will definitely have an issue showering. Overall cute little place to stay. And we did see the gator one day. The pond was pretty low as expected this time of year.

Great place to stay!

Great place to stay! Cute & cozy cottage, cute decor! Short drive down the street to park and a short walk to the beach! We found the most shells on this beach during our visit.
