"This is the quietest holiday on record for us and we always look for quiet locations. The house is a charm and François and Claudine made for the most hospitable hosts. The Vendée has so much to offer and we loved the safe cycling on flat roads using the bikes that came with the property. It’s about an hour to La Rochelle and in east reach of many delightful villages. Highly recommended"

"we had an excellent week with Olivier and Nathalie who were friendly and understanding. the gite was the only one on the site and was connected to the hosts main house. we shared a pool with the hosts and were able to have swim every day. the gite was advertised for up to 5 persons but there was only two of us so loads of space. nice big rooms (for 2) and a decent fridge and freezer. great location for exploring Niort and La Rochelle plus the local area"

"Warm welcome in a fantastic remote area full of beautiful landscape, stuffed with castles, chateaus, churches, abbeys and manor houses from all historical periods as well as impressive nature and plenty of fun for the kids! "Bon accueil, belle maison avec l'essentiel pour y passer un weekend en famille (10). Il y a deux petites salles de bain au rez-de-chaussée. L'idéal serait d'avoir 1 WC à l'étage mais bon, on s'organise. Canapé lit pas hyper confortable pour dormir mais les autres lits sont appréciés ! Beau parc pour déjeuner en extérieur avec terrasse. Bon weekend. Nous recommandons !"

"The property internally was very good but needs some finishing off. Property full of flies. VRBO advertised property inclusive of use of pool and hot tub. Owner requested 100 euro’s for 7 days use of hot tub. Externally on arrival the grass was not cut, pool had not been cleaned and Wi-Fi was inoperable. Pool was cleaned on arrival, Wi-Fi was repaired following day. Grass was not cut. The owners dog used the long grass at the end of the pool to do it’s business. We will not return to this...

Ok but poor access to restaurants for the evening
"We booked 2 rooms but the automated system only gave us 1 at check in so we had to see the lady at reception after 5pm to get the second one. It is a Poor and confusing digital system. Also the location of the hotel is not helpful for access to restaurants in the evening. ( your own food offering was limited) We had a long walk round a busy unsafe road, or had to drive into the city."
