Excellent host / property!
We had a great time during our stay. The listing was accurate, clean, and check in was seamless. We had a late flight and host was nice enough to offer complimentary late check out which allowed us to spend more time exploring!

This was a very comfortable place to stay, only a couple of blocks to the beach. Located in a nice, quiet neighborhood. It had everything we needed for a very pleasant weekend!

Good Choice for a Short Stay
Another tidy little unit in the big yellow house! Layout is a bit quirky with entry into the kitchen, a tight bathroom, and outdoor patio access from the bedroom. Eclectic furnishings and worn carpet give the impression of a college apartment, but the space is actually quite clean. The bed and sofa are very comfortable. We would have liked plumper head pillows and another six coffee cups in the cabinet to cut down on dishwashing. That said, the unit is a good choice for a short stay and we intend to return.

Our stay in Santa Barbara was nice. The condo was exactly what we had hoped for and gave us plenty of space to relax after being on the road for a couple of weeks. It was within walking distance to State Street and the beach.

5 Year Anniversary Getaway
We wanted to take this time to say THANK YOU! We appreciated you to allow us to stay at your hidden gem nearly 3 blocks away from the ocean. Great location to all; walking distance to food, seafood restaurants, wineries and best of all breweries. Your home was so cozy, welcoming and very clean. The only thing we would say is upgrade the TV since we were unable to stream from our phones(very difficult). We definitely want to come back soon and will keep you on our minds when we think of going to Santa Barbara. We took a little long to write this but was reminded from the bottle of champagne you gave us, which we are drinking now. You exceeded our expectation as we celebrated our 5 year anniversary. The apartment was very well appointed. We had a floor fan which was broken upon our arrival and it was quickly replaced by the on-site manager. The bed was comfortable. The apartment is too small to entertain even another couple.

Good location for the price
Pros: - It was good location within walking distance to the beach and main strip. - Much cheaper than hotels in the area and more value for the money. - Nice coffee machine. - Enjoyed eating on the outside patio. Cons: - Carpet needs to replaced with hardwood or tile. Seems old, dingy, and had a musky smell. - The cart in bathroom between the sink and shower made that area cramped. I would suggest installing a medicine cabinet for guest to store toiletries. - Cable TV remote worked only half the time when watching streaming services such as Netflix and Prime. Should have the remote from the actual TV available. - May want to fix the light in the bedroom, it's not properly aligned and looks like it's going to fall off.

Am thrilled Tommy noted our motto - cheaper than hotels. We are unmatched in location, quality and price. And love that our cleanliness was mentioned, consistent with our other reviews. We will be simplifying the TV which currently works with a DVR, as most people have trouble working it. Regarding the carpet, it's less than 1 year old. Please see the review that was posted on the same day from a guest that followed Tommy: "As described, beautiful I could see myself living there. 3 blocks from the beach."

Luckily, we have a very small car or parking would have been a problem. Listing stated there was a private washer & dryer with soap, this was not true. Although the manager promptly assisted us to the housekeeping laundry, listing needs to be corrected. Location was great, near beach & many restaurants.

Great location
Super cute building, we just returned from Italy and it sure resembles a lot of the VRBO’s we stayed in there. The location was close to the beach and town. We parked our car and didn’t use it until we left! The apartment is super cute and clean with a nice little patio. We loved falling asleep to the fountain outside. Highly recommend it!

Great Stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our Santa Barbara stay. Downtown Santa Barbara was just great with lots of very nice restaurants, bars and cultural attractions. The place was very comfortable, well equipped and very clean. Neighborhood was very nice and safe and well located near downtown and readily accessible to other parts of the Santa Barbara area. Off street park very close to the unit was quite easy. We hope we have the opportunity to rent this unit again in this beautiful area.

Good stay at a fair price
Location is great. Access/parking to the building was easy enough. The information provided for checkin & WiFi was inaccurate but the manager was communicative and timely. There are a few odd things about the place that were fine for us but could have been better: 1. It's difficult to eat here. There's a table, one chair and a stool, both of which sit at the same height as the table. 2. The appliances are loud. Woke us up several nights throughout our stay. 3. The bathtub does not plug if you'd like to take a bath. 4. Pillows are flat/flimsy but the bed is comfortable. Things that were great: 1. Cleanliness 2. Variety of dinnerware and cooking utensils. You could make dinner here if you'd like. 3. The Nespresso with the foamer is a great addition.

Clean, charming and Extremely Convenient
The property is 3 stories tall and has several units. The doors all face outside with common stairs. We were on the 2nd floor and it was quiet. We never did meet our hostess, but we enjoyed our stay just the same. We were within walking distance of the beach, the harbor, the pier and several restaurants. The bed was comfortable and there was a kitchen and a small area to watch tv or relax. We would definitely return.

Great Location
Fantastic spot that is a short walk to State St / Downtown SB / Funk Zone. Property is well-maintained. The room has comfortable furniture and a large King bed. The kitchen is stocked with most of the basics that are needed. Being a (uniquely laid-out) multi-unit building, we found that the other guests were respectful and considerate (e.g., muted noise levels). For this particular unit where parking is provided, it is an actual garage (not all units have a garage). This would not work for a large SUV but it did work for our RAV4 SUV.

Perfect getaway with attentive management
Nice place in a great location. Had one small issue but the property manager was quick to resolve. Parking spot is tight but it worked fine for our small SUV (larger SUVs would have to find street parking). I would certainly stay here again.

Only one suggestion…..2 chairs….folding would be ok for the small table below mirror in living room. FYI. The parking “garage” was impossible to use because of the car parked on the left side of the garage building was blocking the left side of door of number 3 garage. And the garage itself was not wide enough for my Subaru Ascent. Luckily the street parking was adequate.

We were in town to visit family. We enjoyed and appreciated the proximity to the harbor where their business is. We had a big challenge initially gaining access to the property but we were fortunate to get the help of other renters. We enjoyed the apartment.

Perfect space for 1 or a couple
The getaway was the perfect space for my weekend in Santa Barbara. An easy walk to all the best restaurants and the beach. I only used my car once to get groceries. Would definitely come back

The carpet is new, just put in 3 months ago and is a high quality wool as shown in the pictures. Perhaps it is the style or color that lends one to believe it is not. The style is old world.

Studio with Perks
This was the perfect spot to come "home" to after a day at the baseball park right down the street! Its close to some of the best restaurants and shopping and yet the kitchen is fully stocked if you wish to whip up your own meal and watch a movie on the big screen TV! Will definitely be back!

Perfect location
This is the perfect location and property for a short stay. It is stocked with everything you could need. (If you plan to cook, make sure you get spices and oil since they only provide the pans etc) Everything was as listed. Two things that could improve: the bedroom was freezing. The room has a small heater but there weren’t enough blankets on the bed. Granted, this is only relevant if you visit in the winter like we did. Communication with the property manager, Bauder, was hit or miss. They offered a laundry service that we took them up on. I had to chase her with multiple unanswered texts regarding pick up time, drop off time, and the total amount due. She did an amazing job and even took the trash out when she came but the lack of communication was frustrating. Overall, worth a stay if you want to be downtown and want to have a small kitchen!

No question we would/will stay there again, but...
It is an odd place so prepare...there are no chairs except outside on the balcony...inside there is one bar stool, and two benches, one that serves as an end table for the couch...the other sits in front of a huge mirror in the living room, in front of a kind of half moon desk, that reminds one of a make-up mirror, and that is what my wife used as a work desk...I used the bench in the bedroom for my "work area", but had to bring in a beach chair from the balcony in order to have a seat to work...there is no eating area so when we had to prepare our own meals the only place we could eat together was out on the balcony with a table between us too small to hold anything except our drinks, our food in our laps... It sounds like a lot of complaining from a couple of old folks, so I;m guessing everyone is saying, "Hey Boomers", but...we would definiteley stay her again because of the location to our family, the beach, Toma's restaurant, and The Funk Zone...can't be beat in this regard... The other thing we would most definitely do id is request and OUTSIDE parking slot in their parking lot...they do have inside "garages", but they are SO narrow getting in and out of your car is impossible unless you are slender!...opening and closing the doors to these garages is not a big deal, but making it virtually impossible for both driver and passenger to get into the car at the same time is probably inconvenient for everyone, not just us old dinosaurs... Again, please understand we would/will most definitely stay here again because of all the positive aspects: beautiful and clean apartment, great location, and easy check-in & check-out... I was about to end but my wife reminded me noise can be an issue if there is cleaning work going on on the roof of the next building, if the people above or below you are loud or boisterous, if there is construction or tree-cutting on Yanonali, or if they are trimming the arbors in this complex... If you want a rating on a scale of 1- 10, overall we would give it a very solid 7-8 and return because we don't often get to stay in places that are essentially this nice overall...

quiet neighborhood, easy access to beach and sights
Our unit was not ready at check-in time, and wouldn't be until the next day! Fortunately the owner arranged for us to stay in a nicer place in the same building, but not for the whole duration. So that meant the inconvenience of moving twice. Overall it's a nice enough place. Just a few blocks from the boardwalk and beach.

Great location however needs improvement!
This was the first time I experienced renting with VRBO. I have serval homes that I rent out through VRBO so I understand the process. Check in was too cumbersome, we were supposed to have a parking space however there wasn’t one available. The toilet squeaked and screeched all night and the bedroom door also had a horrible squeaky noise. The carpet was very dirty. The positive in this experience was the ladies that clean the rooms in the morning were very happy to help me with these on going issues. The location is a ten. This place could truly be a GEM if they took the time to clean and fix these annoying problems.

This is a very very nice apartment. Firstly it presented us with an amazing kitchen. Big gas cooker. Large oven and fridge. Excellent supply of cooking equipment and crockery and cutlery. The bathroom had plenty of towels and toiletries. Very generous. Swimming towels in the wardrobe with plenty of space for suitcases and clothes. Just be aware the apartment is one level but not on ground level. The horns on the trains are extremely loud from quite an early hour but you would hear them even 2 miles away! The apartment and its amenities far outweighed those couple of issues. There is a carpark but we didnt appear to have been allocated one. Absolutely amazing location for Amtrak, beach, town, funk zone and public transportation. Would highly recommend

Lovely little apartment
This lovely rental was exactly what we needed for our fun and relaxing vacation. It was very clean and had everything we could need in the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The location is fantastic, we could walk to nearly everything we wanted to do. It’s the perfect size for a couple.

Santa Barbara Bath Street Stay
We loved the location and the space! The balcony was great. The kitchen was adequate. The bed was fantastic. We were disappointed that, after spending upwards of $1600, we didn’t have all light bulbs in working order. Hand we stayed in a hotel, we know we would have the basics covered, like light bulbs working. It seems like the cleaning staff could take more time to ensure the space is in complete working condition. . Should we visit again, we will likely stay in a hotel because we know that, for $1600, we will have lights that work.
