"All meals were very good, food was replenished before it was needed so it was always fresh. There was always a good variety, and it seemed to have a good variety of vegan options (I am not vegan). Drinks were served in smallish glasses but they use quality alcohol. No waitstaff in at the pool or in the bar, but that may have been because of the time of year. Our room was clean and spacious with a very large balcony and a great shower and very comfortable beds. Rooms were cleaned early in the day. A couple days before arrival I received an email th check in. During the process you are asked the time of arrival. We were arriving at 8:30 am we got to the resort and our rooms were ready and waiting for us! They have a free shuttle to take you to Funchal 3 times a day. The hotel is beautiful, the pool area is huge and well maintained. Highly recommend anyone to stay here."

"Great views from the rooms. Great amenities (gym, pools, etc.). I already told local friends this should be the place they recommend to others who come to visit. Easy parking in the area (compared to other places) and easy to get around. Staff was also excellent - friendly and responsive. "

"Excellent hotel stay I had in recent Years. Best location. Lovely sea view Rooms. Superb swimming pool spa facilities. Lovely staff at every point of your stay. Excellent Breakfast varieties, good affordable restaurant for lunch time. Great dinner buffet options. Great location and lot to explore by walking around the Hotel, if you are looking to stay away from Funchal main city centre this is the one. Hardly 10 min drive or €13 euro Bolt Taxi to the Funchal city, € 9 Bolt taxi to the airport. Lot of Madiera experience tour pick up options from the Hotel. Definitely I would recommend this for any family. Loads of Kids playing options. Who ever opts in this Hotel would not regret it. "Our stay at Villa Camelia was truly superb! Visiting in low season meant we had a near-empty property to enjoy - and it's a stunning house! The communal spaces are truly whimsical and there's something new to spot every time you walk through. Our room was very homely and the high ceilings on the upstairs level made it feel even more spacious. The breakfast served by Berta each morning was splendid, with lots of choice and all of it delicious. The grounds surrounding the house are plentiful and well-maintained and we cannot wait to return in the summer months to spend our downtime outside in the sun! Simply put; do not hesitate to book your stay here!"

"Very good communication, given the door codes before arriving. Accommodation was excellent, bed was very comfy and shower fab. We used public transport so you need to work out the buses that pass the door unless you don't mind walking. It's about a 25 minute walk to the airport from the property. Lovely garden area and has a banana plantation right in front of accommodation. Airport is very close so many flights taking off and landing. If using buses you can use the 113 bus to and from machico but must have a b for bemposta to go past the door. Kitchen facilities are excellent in the property. About 20 /25 minute walk to Santa Cruz. Nice views over the sea. Would certainly recommend and use in the future. Cheers 😁😁"
