Santa Margarida do Sado Holidays

A great stay at this very modern apartment complex 👍 Booked a 6 night break over the Xmas period at good price via Expedia. Flamingos salgados is in a quiet area in between the Albufeira Marina and Amerco de pera (Galé /Gui area) so a car is ideally required unless you want to use Uber or Taxis to get around. The beach isn't far from the complex but due to the road designs and lack of pathways it's around a 2.5k walk or drive to reach. This complex was only built in 2024/25 and to a high standard. We had a 1 bedroom apartment with fully fitted kitchen, microwave, kettle, toaster, 4 ring induction hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee machine x2 (Espresso and filter drip) plus a good selection of plates, cups, glasses and cutlery. There is a large balcony accessed from living area and bedroom that gets the sun all day from around 11am to sunset. Reception spoke good English and where very welcoming plus they accommodated our early check in request. They also gave us a small sweet pastry present on Xmas day so this was appreciated. A couple of things to note. Underground parking is available at a charge (€5 I think), but free parking is available outside on street. You will need to bring your own washing up liquid , kitchen towels, Tea cloths, coffee pods to avoid the frustration others have noted on some reviews. The room was very clean. The lighting was a bit dim in the room. The staff were all friendly and helpful, (apart from those in the spa.) The housekeeping staff in particular were great, very efficient and obliging. The bar was nice and I enjoyed the special cocktail of the month. The rooftop pool area is beautiful, though of course it would have been nice if the food and drink bar were not closed for the winter months. The hotels location is reasonably convenient for the beach and the main A22 motorway that leads from Spain to Faro and beyond. The TV was hard to use with a really annoying advert for Pr1me Energize every time it was switched on! The breakfast was a bit disappointing with very little choice if cereal or eggs. But all in all, I recommend this hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Incredible resort. Plenty of pool space and deckchairs. We had used the wellness centre for the gym, jacuzzi and indoor pool which were all clean. The staff went above and beyond for us at every point of enquiry- they are truly a credit to Tivoli and our time would not have been half as good without their politeness and helpfulness. Ample food provided at mealtimes with lots of options for vegetarians. We felt so relaxed here. We also enjoyed access to two beaches: one is a 10 minute walk across the bridge, and the other is accessible by hotel "train." There are two bars that make alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Our room was huge and was cleaned everyday.

2 bedroom villa was spacious. Cannot comment on pools or grounds as we visited off season. Breakfast plentiful and delicious. Kitcen not very well supplied for cooking meals , but we managed. The glass wall in one of the showers was not connected in any way to the tub, so the bathroom ended up totally flooded; housekeeping did not replace the towels we soaked from mopping it up.
