"The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The issues we had were the thin walls between the rooms and people coming in at 1 to 4 am and talking full volume and constantly making it hard to sleep. "

"I loved my stay at Hotel Laurin. The room was great, very clean and the balcony was a massive plus. The pool area was excellent, for the time of year the number of sun loungers was plenty, and the view over the coast was perfect. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of hot & cold, and sweet & savoury. The staff were all brilliant, welcoming and helpful. And the area was close to all restaurants and shops, as well as the boat to Portofino and the train to all the popular spots on the coast as well as the smaller villages. Santa Margherita itself is the perfect base for the area, with a calmer feel than some of the more intense tourist areas, whilst still having enough of a buzz to not feel too quiet. "This is a beautiful restored historic hotel. My room was small twin bed single room, perfect for one traveler. I had beautiful outdoor space on a terrace outside my room. Breakfast was included, had everything I needed. The staff was extremely pleasant and accommodating. The location was convenient to the train station, the ferries, the buses, shopping and restaurants. And very close to the beach!"
