It’s close to everything, with a 15-minute walk to Praça do Comércio, and Avenida da Liberdade with its luxury stores is just steps away. We mostly walk to and from our hotel. Overall, it’s a great budget-friendly option. My main complaint is that you need to carry your luggage down a flight of stairs from the entrance to the lobby, If you’re a light packer, this won’t be an issue, but with a regular suitcase and two carry-ons, it wasn’t ideal for us. "We had a wonderful three nights in the mountain facing rooms. Added bonus of being able to watch the sun rise from the room. Friendly staff provided an excellent meal on the first evening. Breakfast choices were many and varied; we certainly set off each day well filled. The village itself was great for wandering around and the castle of course was the highlight. "We booked this hotel through Expedia during a very hot weekend because the listing displayed photographs of a swimming pool among the property’s amenities and facilities. Upon arrival, before checking in, we discovered that the hotel does not actually have a swimming pool on site. The pool shown in the listing is a municipal pool located elsewhere.
