"Getting to the apartments is not easy. If using public transport, I recommended you get the bus S1 from Santander bus station to Astillero , costs €1.80 disembark at Avenue Bilbao 75 (about 15 stops) and then walk 15 mins to what looks like an industrial wasteland. I wish there had been a sign on the approach to Calle Arday to confirm you were going the right way. Reception is closed 1pm to 5pm for public access so if you arrive at these times you wont get in. There is no terrace to sit out...

"Room was nice, what we needed before a morning flight. We were able to park our rental car out front. Only 10 minutes drive to airport. We opted to book breakfast on check-in for a much lower price than the day of. We also ate dinner at the hotel since it was easy after a long travel day and restaurant was open relatively early (for Spain). Right next to a train station, easy access into Central Santander. "

"Stayed for four nights after walking a section of the Camino Norte. Great communication prior to arrival and a very warm welcome from the host. This is a fantastic pension, centrally located, spotlessly clean and with a really cool design that you maybe don't expect from the very modest exterior. Located right beside the market and in walking distance to all the major sites - would definitely return when back in Santander"

"The way a really nice place to, everything fitted out to a high standard (american fridge, dishwasher, washing machine etc). Huge TVs in the main room and bedroom. Very comfortable beds, small balcony setting area and large living room/kitchen. Great with for families with two bedrooms. Also a handy lift (very new) and secure key code locks. "Room clean but dated, no walk in shower you need to climb in the bath. No individual toiletries, .Breakfast buffet reasonable. Restaurant/cafeteria are very good and food is reasonably priced. Parking is underground using a car lift. Very handy location for shops and bars lots nearby. Reception staff could be a little more friendly perhaps but no big deal. "

"The hotel entrance is round the corner from the cafe where we went in, but the waiter quickly pointed us in the right direction. Staff were great and very helpful. Breakfast in the adjoining cafe was excellent with delicious tortillas. We also used the cafe fir a snack the evening before and again the tortilla we chose was excellent. Good value and in a convenient location."

" The room was perfectly clean and the furnishings were nicely appointed and in very good condition. The staff were very pleasant. The breakfast buffet was nice, a good selection. The breakfast area is cozy, a tad small. The location is great; in town so plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. We upgraded to a room with a spa bath because we were walking the Camino and knew we would enjoy a soak. The bath was very nice, but there was no soap near it (it’s affixed to the shower wall). Also, the room lacked much furniture- two tiny bed stands with only one surface; no dresser or luggage racks for our bags made unpacking complicated. Overall a good hotel and a nice stay."

"The apartment had fantastic views of the estuary and city, and was spacious. Had basic cooking equipment, but not really sufficient for regular self- catering. Decor a bit tired, and could do with Netflix / Prime on TV for travellers for whom Spanish isn't their first language. "
