This hotel is an historical building with quite beautiful architecture. However it lacks many amenities of newer hotels such as AC, hair dryers and a fridge. The rooms and furnishings are very dated but fit into the character of the building. The area is quiet and not touristy which is nice for those who prefer this. We only ate in the restaurant for breakfast and it was pretty good. We did find ants in our room but the employees were very accommodating and made sure we were comfortable in another room.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Madeira. It had everything our family needed for a comfortable and relaxing trip—from the well-equipped kitchenette and espresso machine to the thoughtful touch of a collapsible drying rack for swimsuits and towels.
The staff were exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always eager to help. The hotel itself was spotless, and it was clear that cleanliness and guest comfort are top priorities. Breakfast was outstanding, with a great selection of fresh, delicious options.
We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be booking here again on our next visit!

We loved this apartment it was beautifully presented and so peaceful, We enjoyed the settings and the pool area and would highly recommend. It's about a 10 minute walk to bus stop to Funchal, shops and restaurants.

"Very nice apartment, well equipped, though missing few things like frying pan, bin bags, remote batteries, washing tablets- we stayed for 10 days and run out of products. The shower is great but there really should be a better screen as the water goes everywhere and you can smell damp and the sewer ..."
