8.8/10 Excellent! (2,627 reviews)
We stayed at Luxury Bahia Principe in March and had a wonderful experience. The staff were fantastic—friendly, welcoming and genuinely seemed happy to be there. The pool bar staff especially stood out. They were always smiling and happy to make whatever drink you wanted, and even remembered us and our drinks from the day before. Those little things really make you feel welcomed. The food was excellent. We enjoyed the buffet so much that we ate dinner there almost every night instead of making specialty restaurant reservations. There was plenty of variety, everything was well seasoned, and the fish and meat selections were consistently excellent. I honestly don’t remember eating anything I disliked. We tried the Brazilian-style restaurant one night; it was satisfying, but we preferred the buffet. Drinks were fantastic, and the nightly entertainment was another highlight. There was a different theme each night, and the entertainment crew was personable and welcoming. They would recognize you around the resort during the day, stop to say hello and have a conversation. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend this resort. Great food, great drinks and wonderful people. One tip: skip the vacation club presentation. Whatever they call it, I’d rather spend that vacation time at the pool with a cocktail!
