Domus dei Castellari is a cosy apartment, strategically located just a few kilometres from the Gulf of the Poets and the Lunigiana region, ideal for those who want to alternative days at the beach with excursions through villages and nature.

Its location allows for easy access to the sea, the Gulf of Poets, and the Cinque Terre—with their villages perched along the coast—as well as the unspoiled landscapes of Lunigiana. A convenient and relaxing base for exploring the area.
The Space
🛋 Living Area

The apartment features a spacious and bright living area, consisting of a living room with a sofa, dining table, and air conditioning—ideal for relaxing after a day at the beach or hiking.

🍳 Kitchen

The separate kitchen is practical and functional, perfect for preparing breakfast, lunch, or dinner in peace, without sacrificing the comfort of feeling at home even while on holiday.

🛏 Sleeping Area

The sleeping area is clearly separated from the living area and consists of two separate bedrooms:

a double bedroom with air conditioning

a second bedroom with a double bed

A single bed for a fifth guest can be added upon request.

Bedding and towels are provided; additional sets during your stay are available upon request for a fee.

🚿 Bathroom

Spacious and functional bathroom, equipped with a shower and bathtub, with a washing machine available for guests’ use.

🌿 Outdoor Areas

A covered outdoor patio, furnished with a small table, ideal for outdoor breakfasts or relaxing.
There is also a dedicated space outside for hanging laundry, which is convenient after a day at the beach or hiking.

Guest Access
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire apartment.
Access is through a common area; the accommodation guarantees privacy and independence during your stay.

For those travelling by bike, you can store your bikes in the garden or, upon request and subject to availability, in the garage.

Other things to keep in mind
The accommodation has free on-street parking in the immediate vicinity. The location is also convenient for getting around on foot: a supermarket, the bus stop for Sarzana and La Spezia, and the train station are all about a 10-minute walk away. There are direct and frequent connections to La Spezia, making it easy to reach the Cinque Terre, so a car isn’t necessary.

Just a few minutes’ walk away, you’ll also find bars, a bakery and pastry shop, a fruit and vegetable store, a pharmacy, and a coin-operated laundromat—ideal for all your daily needs. The highway entrance is about 1 km away, making it easy to travel to Liguria and Tuscany.

The location allows you to quickly reach the Gulf of Poets, with its splendid seaside villages such as Tellaro, Lerici, San Terenzo, and Portovenere, as well as the Lunigiana region, with its villages and natural landscapes, and the picturesque Carrara Marble Quarries, a destination of great historical and cultural interest.

A bike and pedestrian path runs right nearby, providing easy access to Sarzana; for hiking enthusiasts, it’s also possible to explore sections of the Via Francigena, accessible from nearby Ponzano Superiore, depending on your fitness level.


A tourist tax of €2.50 per person per night is required, to be paid on site, in accordance with municipal regulations.
The tax does not apply to children under 16 years of age.
