Santo Tirso Holidays

The hotel was well-located to access tours but keep in mind that old Porto is a hilly city! We only ate breakfast at the hotel one morning because there are interesting cafes in the vicinity. One fav was the Eatery 119, surprisingly a Ukrainian Cafe with a great passion fruit-mango dessert. There is also an interesting market nearby too where you can buy cut-up fruit in a plastic cup and assorted juices. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room was clean but small with no chairs so we had to sit on the bed. It was not big deal but you can book a larger room. Good AC too.

We did not stay at Lenscape coterie as it was undergoing renovations and therefore not open. We were relocated to another hotel in the group Torel Saboaria where we had a wonderful room. The breakfast was superb we had lunch and dinner which were equally as good as breakfast. We cannot thank all the staff enough as everyone was so kind, helpful and attentive even to the point of providing gluten free pancakes at breakfast.

Great hotel with lovely staff

We spent 4 nights in Porto at 1827 River House and during our stay we met most of the team who make this boutique B&B so special. We were very well looked after and nothing was too much trouble, from arranging the transfer from the airport, lending us a USB adaptor and providing helpful hints on where to eat and what to see. We had a river view room on the 4th floor and the room was quiet, comfortable and well-equipped. Location-wise it couldn't be better as you are literally a stone's throw from the river and within walking distance of all Porto has to offer. Would definitely recommend if you are coming to Porto.

Staff was very helpful and kind. They even helped me with the cancellation of a rental car. Loved the breakfast, and the Terrace bar.
