Great resort! Beautiful views of the caldera from our room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The food was amazing. However, there are steep walks that will test your stamina, but it is a great daily workout! Highly suggest to use their car transport service/parters. Rides to and from the airport and to Fira were spacious and comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

The grand ambassador definitely went above and beyond to make our stay great. We had to add an additional night prior to coming and they made it happen no questions asked and even gave us a better room given the troubles we were having. Their location was great It wasn't hard to get anywhere we needed to go. We rented an ATV and it was perfect for what we needed. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. I don't think there is a bad view from any room there.

We were a bit surprised by the number of stairs to get down to our “cave” room. I definitely did not realize when booking that it was legitimately in a cave. We absolutely loved our private pool/ lounge and the service and food were both excellent. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Fantastic and magical resort in a "quieter and relaxed" location on Santorini. We loved our "cave suite" with breathtaking views and our own private pool. Felt five star and the staff/restaurant on site were amazing. Highly recommend, also we did a few day trips to the surrounding towns Oia, Fira and Imerovigli, easy to get to by taxi and fun to visit but we were so happy to return to our sanctuary at the Grand Ambassador!

This is our second visit to the Ambassador and we look forward to the next time. The resort is gorgeous with wonderful accommodations and spectacular views. The pool on the terrace is a fabulous perk. Walking distance to Akrotiri with great restaurants. Concierge Pepi is a jewel and booked wonderful excursions

This property is beyond Iconic. Such close proximity to all tourist attractions, yet providing; privacy, luxury, exclusivity, the best sunsets and a complete 5 diamond resort attraction. ***Note - this is not on the tourist part of the island. If you are wanting a more secluded and quiet experience, this is the place for you. Everyone is lovely, room was impeccable, and all of my tour events picked me up from there without issue. The sunset views over the water were breathtaking.

My wife and I stayed at the Grand Ambassador hotel for 6 days, we came for our honeymoon. We had an amazing time, the service and staff is absolutely incredible. The property is secluded and away from Thira and Oia, which are the tourists areas. If you want to save money on transportation rent a car or an ATV. Just know there is not a lot in this area for beaches, or food options, there is a nice Cafe in Akrothiri. Their breakfast is delicious, the staff is very kind and willing to please, Pepi is the main concierge and will literally help you in every way, she is amazing. This was a great place for us to experience Santorini.

I was very disappointed with my stay at the Grand Ambassador in Akrotiri, Santorini. This hotel advertises itself as a 5-star property, but my experience did not reflect that standard. The room had an ants problem. I reported it to the staff and the manager, but nothing was done to resolve the issue during my stay. It's unacceptable to ignore a basic cleanliness concern like this. Though they cleaned everyday but it never took care of the ants. They needed to hire a company and spray the property. The hotel also advertises king-size beds, but the bed in my room was actually a queen, which was misleading. The manager argued it was a king and send someone else to measure. Come to find out the bed IS a queen size. He stated that he order king size and thats what he received. I paid for a king size bed not a queen. He didnt bother of trying to find another room or make it right. In addition, several fixtures in the room were outdated or in poor condition, making the room feel poorly maintained. The property was amazing with a beautiful panoramic view. The floor staff was super friendly. For a hotel that is advertising to be 5 stars, I expected much better service, maintenance, and honesty . Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations, and I would not recommend staying here unless these issues are addressed.

The view from our room was amazing. Pepi and the staff at the front desk were wonderful and very helpful. It's not a party area. It's peaceful and quiet. The breakfast at the restaurant was just OK but the dinner was excellent. The only knock was the small television in the room and the positioning of it but I guess with the most amazing view who needs a T.V.
