There is a nice restaurant with a view called Mosmo right beside the property that was really amazing to have a meal at. The staff was so helpful to all of our needs it was an amazing stay!

The Grande Murano was selected as a reasonable priced centrally located hotel as near to the top of the caldera as possible, on the main road. In reality I found a Diamond. Friendly staff from your first contact with the office. Helpful and committed to offering you a wonderful holiday stay. Osmo, the next door restaurant offers an amazing dining experience. The menu is fabulous but the eating is amazing, chicken , pork, beef or the calamari and not forgetting the amazing crepes for breakfast. Honest to goodness home-cooking at a very reasonable price, go on indulge yourself. The hotel offered great views to the east, dropping away as it does towards the east coast. The pool was small, nestled between the 2 sides of the hotel, but it was deceptive and mightily refreshing, feet beneath the main road. Centrally located between the 2 squares the hotel offered ease of access to all Fira has to offer, only a small downhill walk to the mostly pedestrianised square and bus station. The square is flanked by shops but mostly bars and eateries most are more than reasonably affordable . Not too far from the Caldera walkways and queues to the cable car. The room was a comfortable size for what we wanted, twin room with a shower and a pool. We were literally 1M from the pool and slept well in the comfy beds. A wonderful hotel offering great rewards for my search for a competitively priced hotel, to match the views offered in the onsite Osmo restaurant. Lovely honest people place.

The location was perfect and located near the thira shopping mall area. The service was okay, the guy was never at the desk even though the location stated 24/7 desk service. The gentleman at the desk was not professional at all. We asked for early check in because we arrived hours before our room would be ready. He said we could keep our bags in the lobby until yhen but yet we waited at the hotel forever intil he arrived. Daily we would see one lady vleaning which easnt a big deal but our trash was never emotied until day 3 and we started to clean our trash and rubbish to set it up whe she would come by. The last day was upsetting because we almost msised our ferry to leave santorini. The cleaning lady spoke jo english and called the guy at the front desk because I went to her to ask for assistance. We spoke with him TWICE and he confirmed 10am the day we leave to take us to the port in santorini. Its 1020am and the guy was still not at the hotel and we are waiting with a griuo of people to get a shuttle ride to the port. The guy said in the last call, "yeah yeah 10am when do you want me to get you...? We said now today like 20mins ago and the guy said okay". Instead of waiting to miss our ferry we found a taxi & for to our ferry but don't stay here unless you want bad service. The room we had was under stairs & we heard everyone coming into their rooms at 2/3am & there's no peace here. Other than that walking distance to majority of the town and a nice 15min drive ti Oia.

Dishonest Hotel

I booked this hotel when my girlfriend and I got stranded due to a delayed flight. We arrived at the Hotel and no receptionist was available. We called and they said there is no reason we should have been able to book as they are completely full and that's all there is nothing they can do. They refused to refund the money and never assisted us in anyway.

Cockroaches in bathroom

Our stay was awful. We found huge cockroaches in the bathroom and thus had to find a new room in the middle of the night. The room also had dirty towels, the shower didnt work with the water changing pressure and temperature constantly. Furthermore, the beds were hard and uncomfortable and broken in a few spots.

The hotel has a great location, close to Fira main plaza, ad the centarl bus station. The one thing that could be improve is the availability of staff, as there is someone on reception only on limited time and is hard to get in contact with someone if something is needed.

Viejo, sucio y descuidado.

Llegamos al hotel por la noche, la recepción solo abre hasta las 6 de la tarde, pero nos recibieron a la hora acordada. Elegí este hotel por su buena ubicación, piscina y buen precio, pero no me pude ir más decepcionado. La limpieza dejaba mucho que desear, desde el baño hasta las sábanas de la cama, la puerta y la ventana dejaban entrar todo el ruido de la carretera. Había que encender un calentador para poder ducharse, pero al minuto dejaba de salir agua, solo un pequeño hilo y tardaba varios minutos en volver. Llegamos con mucho calor de pasear por la ciudad y cual fue nuestra sorpresa cuando nos encontramos la piscina vacía, nadie nos había dicho nada. También vimos alguna cucaracha por las zonas comunes del hotel por la noche, en fin un par de días bastante desagradables, desaconsejo alojarse alli.

Beautiful view on a beautiful island

Awesome that they offer easy pick up from super busy port of santorini. Location is very walkable and close to shops in the main area. Loved our ocean view terrace and surprise dip pool. A safe in room would have been nice.

Ok for a couple of nights...

Alright so here’s my take on Grande Murano. Some of the reviews were just awful and I don’t think that’s fair however I’m not hard to please and this hotel definitely didnt live up to its standards. Here’s why: 1. My first day things went missing from my room. I had purchased some CBD from the market across the street and left it on the bedside table only to come back to find it gone. I’m going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say that it was thrown out by accident but housekeepers shouldn’t be touching what isn’t theirs. 2. This hotel claims to have AC but it definitely does not, the room was so incredibly hot and humid. I had to sleep with the window open every night which led to tons of mosquito bites and a small lizard making its way into my room. 3. The fridge didn’t work. 4. The TV was pathetic - the size of an iPad and it was mounted so high on the wall that you couldn’t see it properly, 5. The beds are AWFUL. Incredibly old, hard and uncomfortable. 6. The room had a rank smell of fish. Especially in the bathroom. The positives. 1. The pool is fantastic! 2. The view is beautiful - be sure to catch the sunrise. 3. The location is perfect 4. The front desk staff and transport staff are very nice! To sum it up - this hotel isn’t terrible but I probably wouldn’t stay again if I had the choice.
