Very nice property and our host was super friendly and helpful. It’s pretty hard to find, and if you are traveling there by car, be sure to ask the host to arrange a driver for you. Once we got settled in, it was very easy to get around and the short walk to town.

Stunning apartment with amazing hosts!!

The location is excellent, being in the centre of the island you're close to everything. The village is lovely and quaint, with gorgeous views! The house itself is stunning! We stayed in the jacuzzi suite which is a two story building with a private outdoor area with jacuzzi, sunbeds and a large table. The apartment was a very classical Greek island style, soft and comfortable. The bed was insanely comfortable, extremely hard to get out of! And all the towels, bed robes and sheets were made of the softest cotton! The kitchen had everything you needed, with yummy jams and bread provided so you can make your own breakfast at your convenience (with a cleaner coming in every day so you don't have to lift a finger). And the owners are absolutely lovely!! They picked us up, checked in on us regularly to make sure we were happy and gave us invaluable advice during our stay! Even left us a mobile phone to call them on so we didn't need to use ours! All in all it was a perfect stay!! We actually couldn't have asked for a more gorgeous place to stay in, a better location or more kind hosts! A little gem in the middle of a beautiful island :)

La suite est spacieuse et décorée avec goût, le jacuzzi est un plus même si nous ne l'avons pas utilisé. Les draps sont changés tous les jours et le ménage fait tous les trois jours. Il y avait pas mal de petites choses abîmées ou manquantes (bouton de porte manquant, déco cassée, ampoule ne fonctionnant pas, frigo rouillé, ...). Cela n'a en rien gâché notre séjour, car la suite était fonctionnelle et globalement identique à ce qui était mentionné dans la description. Les points négatifs : l'accès en voiture (prévoyez une TRES petite voiture) et l'accueil très hautain et à la limite de l'impolitesse.

Moyen et agréable

Logement agréable, petit jardin avec jacuzzi très agréable. Il y a eu plusieurs choses qui ne fonctionnaient pas dans le logement, nous avons fait appel à la personne qui gérait ce logement, elle est venue, mais rien n'a changé. La femme de ménage passe tout les jours, pour vider les poubelles, changer les serviettes et tous les 2 jours faire le grand ménage. Elle ne parle ni anglais, ni français ni grecque, elle est Albanaise. Mobilier peu confortable, chaise de jardin trop basse par rapport à la table. Attention les rues sont très étroites, louer une toute petite voiture (style 108). Pas de machine à laver, pas d'accueil physique. Nous avons eu Athina en contact qui est très agréable et serviable, elle est venue nous chercher, car nous étions un peu perdu dans le village de Mésaria.

Bad experience

I booked the suite for one night. It was bad experience from as soon as I checked in. The person who came to drop off key was unfriendly stranger who did not know English. When I ask her any question she simply said no English. The bed sheets had holes and it was faded in color. The other suites were empty. It says central location and close to everything, when in fact it is quite the opposite. It is in remote area next to chicken farm and a small church. The road turns into non paved road which is very narrow and can accommodate only small car. There is no room to turn around or even reverse properly to give way to upcoming car. I ended up getting another hotel because it was really remote, almost spooky , and just not convenient to go in and out to drive in and out. I asked the lady for refund as I had informed her night before that I moved out and not coming to stay in the spooky hotel, she responded by saying no English.

Katerina was a wonderful hostess! She was always accessible via text messages and happy to make dinner reservations, car rental or transfer reservations and to give advice on what to do while on Santorini. The Lagadi Suites apartment was very nice and comfortable. It appears to have been newly updated. Fresh bread was delivered every morning. One thing to note - Lagadi Suites is not walking distance to Fira or Oia. It is located down a narrow road and best accessible from the top of the hill on the west side of the island. I recommend renting a car for your stay on Santorini. It is not too expensive and they will drop the car off anywhere you would like to pick it up. (Airport, sea port, apartment) It will also allow you to see more of the island. To save money on transfers, I recommend renting a car and picking it up when you arrive at the airport or port. Then when you leave you can drop it back off wherever you depart from. The port can get crowded and traffic can be backed up on the one narrow road that goes there, so give yourself extra time. Check out the open air theater or a cooking class with George at Petra Kouzina (a highlight of our trip). Overall, a fabulous stay at Lagadi and on Santorini! A gorgeous island!

Property is located in Thirassia where the locals live. The contact nr previously posted was wrong. I had also emailed the owners in Aug 11 with no response though the messages appeared as “Read” through the Expedia app. We finally got a call back from the owner on the day of our arrival, after my many written messages. I was told to put the taxi driver on the phone so the owner of the property could explain how to get there as there was no address other than to note the village it was in. The driver dropped us off in front of an old school. We then waited 10 - 15 mins in scorching heat. Finally the owner’s husband arrived. We walked another 10 mins to get to the house, carrying all our luggage. When we got there, the building was pretty small with old amenities, hair on the sink and rusted bathroom water heater. The owner’s husband asked how we planned to get around, noting that “taxis are expensive and not always available.” We figured we would rent a car. While we were there a lady opened the door and walked in. It was strange to see someone walk in who had no business being there. The owner’s husband then said he would come back later. Soon after he left my minor child got a major stomach ache. We tried to use our phones to call the owner to see if we could get someone to drive us to a doctor, only to find out there was zero reception at the house. My all walked in scorching heat getting into a can 45 mins later and got a different hotel losing all the money we had paid.

When you stay here you have a whole little house all to yourself. Charming local building style with bedroom, kitchen, bathroom, and living area. Outside you have a seating area, table with umbrella, and a private hot tub.

Lagadi is an amazing alternative

Lagadi is an amazing alternative to the crowded centers of Thira and Oia. Katerina was very helpful and provided excellent assistance in arranging transfers and making recommendations about activities and restaurants. The suites were large, beautiful, and the fresh bread and other amenities every day were a great addition. The location is in a more residential area which will mean that you will have to walk a bit to get a taxi or other transportation. However, if you make arrangements in advance through the suites that minor inconvenience is minimized. We had a great stay.

There was absolutely nothing to dislike. A great location if you do not want to be in the tourist crowd. Peaceful and quiet. Our host Katrina was fantastic as soon as we booked she was helping with everything. My and my mrs would recommend this especially to couples and people who do not like the tourist crowded places which is Oie.
