Generally one of the better hotels in São Tomé but there's still work to be done. The good: great massage to be had. Room was clean. Hotel was in fairly good condition. Restaurant had decent food, both breakfast and dinner. Bed was comfortable. Pretty good location. AC worked perfectly. Reliable taxi ordering service. The not so good: food service took an insane amount of time. The waitress forgot about me for over an hour, despite having zero, other guests at the time except me AND having been given a huge tip up front before even serving me anything. She was preoccupied with music videos on her phone. To her credit she apologized to me. The shower was crazy small, especially for a tall guy like me. I barely fit. The room didn't have transparent windows, so I had very little, natural light. The windows simply couldn't be opened. Water HAD to be bought from the restaurant - it wasn't just complimentary, which is insane in a city, where water from the tap can't be drunk. Massages from the hotel "spa" couldn't always be had. There was no time table to rely on for that - it was just random when the masseuse was in. The sink in the room was very small.

For Singles on a Business Trip

This hotel works well for a single person, but the rooms are not sufficient for two people. It is not particularly clear from the listing that the bathroom is not a separated room; it is just a sectioned off part of the bedroom. The breakfast is good, and the hotel is exceptionally clean. For a single person on a business trip, we would recommend it.

Great location and ok hotel

The location of the hotel is very good and you can walk anywhere in the city centre. The breakfast was ok, you need to ask for the eggs and they cook them for you. My room did not really have a window (the small one in the corner of the room does not really count and could not even see out of it), but the room was quite ok. Even if the airport pick up was confirmed (10 EUR), nobody was at the airport. I was never told what happened but I just took a normal taxi from the airport to the hotel. Check out time is early at 12 and extra 3 hours would cost you 40 EUR, which is bit steep specially since almost all flights arrive and depart in the evening. Internet worked well and the a/c in the room was very powerful, so much so that needed to turn it off at night as the blanket was very thin. Some of the staff speak English but most of them speak only Portuguese/French. They do not reply too fast to any emails, so might be better to call them if you need airport pick up or anything else. There is no safe deposit box, not hair dryer in the room and just a very small tiny water bottle, so ensure you bring some water with you as shops close quite early in Sao Tome. In generally not a bad hotel, Sao Tome does not have a massive number of hotels to choose from.
