"I recently stayed three nights at Pier House, and loved it. The location was excellent, just a block from the center and the waterfront. The room was pleasant and spacious. The concierge, Andre, could not have been more friendly or helpful in providing airport transfer, car rental, and advice. He helped me squeeze the most out of my too-short time in Madeira. Thank you Andre!"

"Great hotel! The staff was very friendly and helpful with all of our questions. The place was very clean. It was great having access to all of the facilities of the park hotel next door. Location was perfect, closer to the “old town” Funchal than most of the hotels, about a 20 min walk to the center, but great area near a lot. Overall I felt very safe, only thing to note is that there is no one at the front desk between midnight and 7am, but you will need your key card to get into the building...

"Three House Hotel deserves more than five stars! Our room was an apartment rather than just a hotel room, and it was perfect. The rooftop pool, deck and bar was great with comfortable seating, a very nice casual yet elegant decor and an incredible view of Funchal and the waterfront. "The host will pick you up from the airport for €20. He answered all my WhatsApp messages very quickly. You really need a car if you stay here. The staff I met were really friendly. If you book, make sure (before you pay) with the host what actually is the accommodation you pay for. Re-confirm when you book and after you have booked. The rooms from 24 up are on the upper hill and are closer to the pool and have astonishing views, either over the ocean and Porto Santo, or over Santana, with mountain and ocean. Hard to decide.
