Cats spoiled the stay

If you like having a bunch of feral cats around you day and night, this is the place for you. Unfortunately I am allergic to cats and also wouldn’t want them in the house at any time. On each occasion that we opened a window or a door, only an inch or so, there was a bunch of cats desperate to get in! So when the sun was shining and we wanted to have doors and windows open we couldn’t. If we sat outside they were also bothering us all the time. We complained to the agent but they couldn’t do anything. The house is nice. The kitchen is far too big and we were always walking a long way from the cooker to the fridge to the cupboards etc. very poor design. There was only one shower, despite the property details saying there were two bathrooms. The route to the property was not clear. Google maps took us up a farm track which was extremely difficult to back down from. There was no hoover, just a small dustpan and brush, and with tiles throughout the place it got dusty and crumby quite quickly. Lovely location and beautiful garden.

Heerlijk ruim huis op een prachtige plek midden tussen de hoge groene bergen, met een heerlijke veranda. Heel rustig en het zwembad is helemaal geweldig. Een goede faciliteit was de wasmachine en de afwasmachine met bijbehorende wasmiddel en vaatwastabletten! Heel fijn dat je dat niet zelf hoeft aan te schaffen (in grote verpakkingen) voor die paar dagen. We misten haken in de badkamer waar je 4 handdoeken op kunt hangen, er is 1 stang voor 1 handdoek in de badkamer, waar laat je de rest? De grote badlakens kan je ook nergens ophangen om te drogen. Er is wel een droogrek maar daar passen de grote badlakens niet op. Er zit weinig druk op de kranen. We misten ook lekkere zitstoelen in tuin. Er staan 17 harde houten stoelen waar je alleen maar rechtop kan zitten. Er staan uiteraard ligbedden, heerlijk voor bij het zwembad, maar je mist een lekker zittende stoel op de veranda of in de tuin. De bedden vielen enorm tegen: je slaapt op plastic en de bedden zijn veel te klein, te smal (formaat twijfelaar) en ook doorgezakt. De tv werkte niet, deze had geen signaal. De woning is fantastisch en staat op een prachtige plek, maar voor de hoge prijs die je betaald voor dit huis horen bovenstaande minpunten er niet bij.
