Nice terrace
Situated 5 minutes from the old Town. Nice owners. The room was nice and there was a large common terrace that we all could use, incl the owner. There was a small kitchen where you could prepare your beakfast and bring to the terrace. They also do laundry.

A wee gym of a place
Stayed one night when over for the football. The young man, presume owner, was helpful enough. The room was great and a large wet room section in the bathroom. Place very clean. I walked the whole time and it is up a few hills from the square. However overall, I’d definitely stay again here when in Sarajevo

Awesome place. Very lovely hosts. Great location just a few minutes from the main market square. Great room. Very clean. Loved staying here and as our son was sick the hosts were very gracious and kind in helping us.

Fantastic stay
Fabulous owner, couldn't do enough for us. Clean, welcoming, friendly, fabulous views from the terrace. On a main bus route into the city, every 30minutes. Free parking if you're driving. We got a parking ticket and were unable to pay it at the post office, the owner, Jelica, did that for us (fantastic). Give this little gem a try you won't be disappointed.

Stayed one night before going to the airport to fly home. Room was nice and clean and the price was more than fair. Hosts were very kind and helpful. Very close (walking distance) to Bascarsija and other things to see and do in the wonderful city of Sarajevo. Would definitely recommend.

Nice Hotel Close to the City Center
The hotel owners were very friendly and hospitable. The room was clean, hot water was available the whole time, and AC worked well. TV has lots of channels in different languages. The hotel is close to the city enter (5-7 min walking distance) where the Bas Carsi (main bazaar, old town) is. Wifi is a bot slow. Overall, we were very satisfied with the hotel and its price.

Steps away to main section of Old Town
You can literally tuck and roll down to Old Town, so close and convenient. I always start my reviews with any potential negatives: 1) As others mentioned, it's up hill from main town. I personally did not have problems, I travel light with one rolling bag and I am fit, but I can see others who are not physically fit or travel stupidly with a bunch of stuff may have problems. You can get a taxi to drop you off at the front door. Just pointing out, I did not have problem (and see positive point #3 below) 2) internet was not the strongest... if you need to download or stream stuff, you should not be on vacation. One thing though, I wanted to download the local tour app and wifi here couldn't handle, so I have to do at a restaurant. 3) hot water takes a bit to get going, not uncommon. Also, water shuts off at 11PM and doesn't turn back until 6AM, I thought this was a hotel thing but I found out that it's city-wide. Just schedule when you need to wash. OK, all the positives - won't be as wordy but it MAJORLY outweighs the negatives. 1) Location, location, location. You're right by the main section of Old Town. 2) This is small place run by a family.... NICEST lady, helps you with everything. I felt like I was at home. 3) They have a lounge area with outside patio.... AWESOME view of the city. It was cool at end of day, when you're resting, to chill there and enjoy the scenery. This more than makes up for the small walk uphill.

Gorgeous views over the town and the Adriatic Sea. Walking distance to old town. Accessible by bus 8 from international bus station. Be prepared to climb steps, lots of them! Twin beds only.

Great stay!
The Guest House Ciro is located within a 3 min walk to the center so that I could easily run to the local "pekara" (bakery) to get fresh pastries in my PJs and bring them back to eat on the lovely terrace with an amazing view over the city. I appreciated the garage parking as I felt more secure by living the new rental car off the streets. The family was very welcoming and provided us with a map of Sarajevo and a few pointers!

Really nice
Great location for those who don't mind walking up the hill, but taxi can drop you off right in front the soor. Owner are super friendly, people to deal with. They are willing to help out. We had an excellent stay for three days.

Quiet Sarajevo Hotel
The owners were very personable and helpful. The room was well maintained and clean. The hotel was within walking distance to old town and the tram/bus loops. The hotel is on a quiet back street, so we could truly relax after a day of sightseeing without worrying about late night partyers. The owner also helped us arrange our departing transportation, fantastic service!

What a wonderful find!
we stayed 3 nights, it was the best stay during our entire 3 weeks trip. The guest house is so close to everything that literally you can be anywhere within minutes. The house owners are wonderful and very helpful. the room we stayed(the purple room) was fabulous, very large, super clean and you are going to love the shower. We definitely are going to be back and recommend to all of our friends and family. Thanks House Ciro for making our stay in Sarajevo a great one!

Please clean the fridge!
I would have taken a cab (very cheap from train station) instead of tram if I knew it requires a long uphill walk on stone path that was designed for horses with my 18kg suitcase. I was pleased by the simple but nice PINK room until I open that fridge!!! The hosts are all very friendly and helpful, they helped me to book a cab to the bus station very early in the morning.

Ciro was very clean and the area was very quiet. the owners are very polite and helpful. there English channels on TV . the only thing that was the bed was a bit hard. we will defiantly stay here again if we come to Sarajevo

Welcoming Accommodation in the Heart of Old Town
Guest House Ciro is a charming hotel in the heart of Old Town Sarajevo. You leave your hotel, walk down a hill, and in about 3 minutes you are at the Bascarsija. That is also where the tram stops, which will take you to the other end of the city. The location is excellent, but really the best part of my stay was the personal welcome I received upon arrival. Belina (I hope I spelled it correctly) knew exactly who I was and took me directly to my room. It was the fastest check-in I have ever had - really more like arriving to a friend's house and being shown your room than staying in a hotel! It was late, but she gave me a map and suggested an excellent restaurant where I could get Bosnian food even at that late hour, and it was delicious. The room itself was cozy and clean. It had everything I needed, and the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom is very modern, and includes a warm towel rack. There are different types of rooms offered for larger parties and families, but as a single traveler, this was perfect for me. Finally, on my day of departure a minibus was supposed to come pick me up very early at 0530. I waited outside for them, but after 10 minutes wondered if they would arrive. Then, for some reason they called the hotel and not my personal phone number. Despite the hour, Belina cheerily got up and showed me where to go so that the minibus would find me. She then wished me safe and happy travels, like an old friend or relative.

i stayed at Guest House Ciro for two nights. Location is very good, hotel is at the center of old city. The house is run by a helpful couple. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are renovated. It was a nice and quiet stay.

Convenient Location & Reasonably Priced
The hotel is located on a quiet side street within easy walking distance of the old city. While the room was somewhat small, it was reasonably priced, very clean and worked well for a short stay. The owners were friendly and helpful in providing advice and suggestions with respect to sightseeing, restaurants etc..

We truly enjoyed our stay. It is a lovely guest house and our room was clean, modern and very quiet. The hosts went above and beyond--they were extremely helpful, courteous and nice. All this just a short walk to the old city. We couldn't have been happier. Highly recommended!

Good Stay
Pros: Great location, clean, comfortable, friendly. 2 minute walk to old town, but far enough to be quiet. Cons: We barely drink alcohol at all, but it is forbidden in the room. When we do, much prefer to get a small crafted drink and have it in private. Other than that, perfect.

Great place if you are willing to spend $30-45 per night and the location is perfect if you want to be near Bašcaršija. Literally 3 min down the hill and you are there. Whilst all was great we didn't really experience all that "special" customer experience people are referring too in the earlier reviews I.e. Tips and maps on what's going on in the area or even preferred restaurants... Maybe our expectations were that we would be treated with that "special" touch. A welcome coffee would have been nice or a drink on arrival. Otherwise I think this place is great and You should consider the stay here.my brother and I stayed in room with the purple decor with 4 beds. Has a large balcony and clean bathroom. Was told to pay 180 BIM by the owner when the actual booking document stated 170 BIM including all taxes and accommodation. Didn't want to cause a hassle.

A little gem in central Sarajevo
This is a family run guest house where the owners have a welcoming attitude and an eagerness to make your stay as great as possible. The owners son speaks very good English and is more than happy to answer any questions you may have. And for a small amount he will sell you a detailed map of the area and highlight must see spots! It's a mere 7 minutes walk from the main part of Sarajevo which is saturated in history. Here you can find free walking tours, tourist information shops and an array of eateries to sample the scrumptious Bosnian food. (I recommend the 'pies'). There is a bit of a hill involved, but it's gentle and there's a handrail should you need a bit of a helping hand. The guest house itself is very clean, with comfy beds and a few English speaking tv channels (should you spend the evening in). We were in the triple room which was very spacious, and we had a shared bathroom. Seeing 'shared bathroom' shouldn't put you off - the owners keep it very clean and you get your own set of towels that are kept in your own room. I'd definitely recommend this guest house if you're looking to stay in Sarajevo.

Nice, little family guest house
I stayed for one night, and it was a nice stay. Bathroom is very large and clean, water is drinkable and very tasty actually. The family is very nice and you can tell that they put pride in their guests stay. Only downside is that it's located on top of a little hill, so it's a bit of a walk, but it's not bad at all.

Stayed in the room with private bathroom. When the owner showed me the room she described it as cute and cosy and it was. The bathroom was very nice, clean, modern, well equipped, fantastic shower, very reliable hot water whenever you want it. Room itself was very nice and comfortable, decent size. Good location, few minutes walk from pigeon square (tho it is steeply uphill for part of it). Taxi drivers are familiar with the property so you shouldn't have issues finding it. Owner is incredibly friendly and helpful, lovely lady. Very keen to help in any way she can and make sure you have a good trip. The door/walls are a bit thin - you can hear every word of any conversations had in the hallway, but I couldn't really hear anything from other rooms. Payment in cash only, plus the extra 2.50km per night city tax (as the listing says). You can pay extra for breakfast, if you do she will ask you what you want in advance. Depending on weather it will be served in your room - otherwise the only seating area is outdoors, so if you're there during a cold/wet weather patch it will be served in your room. But she does tell you this when you arrange it and agrees a time with you! I would very happily stay here again if I go back to Sarajevo.

Pleasant little family run guest house
We were given a large ground floor room with one double and one single bed and our own separate bathroom and all for such a small price. We did not spend much time in the room as the town centre was just two minutes away but the time in the room was very comfortable.

Excellent location in Sarajevo's old town. The hosts are fantastic. Could not do enough, even washed clothes for us and dropped us back to the airport for a charge. Beds are comfortable and also very quiet. If I ever return to Sarajevo I will stay here

The owner was very nice and hospitable. Room was very clean, quiet and offered an excellent view. Transcending experience listening to the muslim prayers while watching sunset from the ceiling window of the room. Shared toilet but also very clean.

My husband and I enjoyed an extended stay at this lovely guest house in the old city. The hosts, Biljana and Murat, are very nice, hospitable, friendly, and caring. Rooms are very clean, modern, comfortable, and super quiet. It's a short walk to the old city. We couldn't have found a better place to stay nor nicer hosts! Thank you.

A wonderful place to stay in Sarajevo
Sarajevo is an incredible city, and this guesthouse contributed to a wonderful stay. The family are very friendly and willing to help: for instance collecting us from the airport and exploring bus times for us. We cannot praise the family enough - you will struggle to find people more warm and hospitable. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the guesthouse itself feels very secure. We hope to return to Sarajevo and would not hesitate to choose Guesthouse Ciro again.

very close to the old town which means excitement.
Very kind people and close to the old town with coffee, cakes, delicious foods, and local people and tourists and must-see places. It was a shared bathroom I worried but no problem because it was almost end of summer. I felt it was spotless all over. Tramway was nearby also.

Awesome place, within minutes to the Old Town.
Clean, great location, helpful staff, this place is a little gem. Beautiful view of the night city, a minaret nearby, couldn't have done better. What's more, the price was incredible. I will definitely return if I ever go to Sarajevo again.
