Hi Julia, Thank you very much for the feedback. I agree that the spiral staircase is very Italian Sized, we are Vikings but got used to it :-) I'm interested in hearing more about your sense of dampness and will write you directly on VRBO coms. We never had that comment but as we just installed thermo windows and it has been the wettest spring ever, I have been worried that natural ventilation would be insufficient! Dear Peggy, Thank you for such a nice review, I passed on your comment on cleanliness and sucked up the rest together with my wife :-) I'm sorry you had such horrible rains with weather statistics catching up with almost 4 months of drought! I'm just back after 2 weeks in Sarteano and I've never seen the access road in such a poor state - but it's almost fixed now and we are working on the other improvements (AC, photovoltaic cells etc.) and hope to welcome you back to an even better house. Hi Richard, thank you - also for your advice on insect repellent, I did not know this could be an issue but this may has been the wettest on record. Usually we get very few mosquitoes but a lot of fireflies the last week of June and first week of July. They don't bite, but they are very pretty as they fly around in the forest from sunset till midnight :-) We look forward to your return and meanwhile whish you all the best. Lisa & Jens

Dear Regina, thank you for using "hyggelig" in your description - I suppose you know how serious we are about the concept of "hygge" in Denmark :-) We are very glad you enjoyed your stay despite the lightning stricken WiFi router (now replaced) and the cold pool. As you know I arrived just after you had left and missed meeting you by minutes. It was a lovely day, I jumped in the pool and it was indeed un-seasonably cold by at least 3-4 degrees.
