Accommodation and pool were great, not a heated a pool but on hot days that’s no issue. Location was perfect for us as it provided privacy, tranquillity and views while also only being a 15 min drive from a shop, train station which put Lucca, Pisa and Braga all within reach. "Beautiful setting, great gardens and pool. The house is spacious and airy with lots of different areas to sit, eat and explore. The villa isn't really walking distance to the village and the unmade road can be difficult to drive especially after heavy rain. There needs to be some modifications to the house, it's all very traditional and brown and the gas hob takes forever to heat up (boiling a kettle is a 20 minute job). The beds are pretty uncomfortable but apart from that it was a lovely villa...

"We had a very nice stay and overall this is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting. We had two adults and and two 15 year old girls for 5 nights. The home is very charming with adequate bedroom and bathroom space. The outside spaces are nice, especially the covered eating area. The pool was great for the girls and the kitchen was well appointed. New air conditioning units for all three bedrooms just take the edge off, but not really cold. "This villa is located halfway up the steps to the village of Corniglia. It overlooks a garden and has a water view. It is conveniently located to explore the other towns by train or walking. The kitchen is equipped with the basics and there are several small grocery stores in walking distance (up and down the stairs) to purchase local foods to self cater."

The village is quiet and quaint, and the property is right at the end, keep going when you get there, there’s a few twists and turns before you arrive. The pool area is beautiful and well maintained, plenty of sun beds and chairs to relax on. "The property was a comfortable transition from a regular hotel room. We enjoyed the outdoor patios and used the kitchen for breakfast 2 days and the washing machine several times. The only issue was the third floor stairs after a steady hill climb- for those with mobility issues- this property would be impossible. We hope to return next year. "

"It was a real unusual property, a rustic village house. There is a little known castle ruin a short walk up the hill. Loved the washing machine, fire, cat and the helpful owner. It is hard to find, park at the town crossroads and walk up and right. But the locals will point you to it."
