it is a very nice place up in the mountain, 45 min walking downhill to vernazza, breakfast could be better, views are spectacular, rooms clean and confortable, owner very nice
Beautiful serene location. Magnificent view. Very attentive , pleasant staff. Be prepared to hike to Vernazza, otherwise taxi or bus shuttle unless you have your own vehicle. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for tranquility and peace outside of Vernazza proper
First important thing you need a car to get there and be more comfortable, the bedroom has what you need but the view is really beautiful. I would definitely come back. ✨
Quite clean room. Even though we had side room we still had a see view. Besides car you can reach accomodation by bus (+a little walk) or hike from Vernazza (route 507). Breakfast was simple but convenient
We stayed only one night to finish off our 2 week Italy vacation. It was well worth the short taxi drive there to enjoy the spectacular views and quiet retreat from Rome and Naples. Warm hospitality with a generous breakfast!
property was gorgeous, room was nice, the view is really unbeatable and there was a very friendly cat. it is at the top of the hill so not recommended if you aren't willing to drive or hire a taxi/shuttle (the shuttle was €25 to and from Vernazza with the last pickup from Vernazza at 9:30pm). there is a path down to Vernazza but it is very steep and took us about 20-30 minutes going down and 30-40 going back up. we had a lovely time and would be happy to come back.
Be sure to rent a car or be ready to pay for a taxi ($30). Not walkable to and from Vernazza. If you are American, hold the 0 button to make calls. Marta is very sweet and helpful. We liked how quiet and remote the property, we slept with the breeze from outside. This property is at the top of the mountain and not in the city of Vernazza.
What an amazing stay! The host were so friendly and breakfast was amazing. A.c in the room worked and the view was great. The room was great for two people. The hike down to town was steeo and short, it was fun for us because we are active and do it often. If you are out of shape I would not reccomend unless you are willing to drive to town or pay for a taxi. It was perfect for our short trip.
Amazing Place! The view was exceptional, beyond description! Our room opened up to a veranda overlooking the Mediterranean with views of Vernazza and Monterosso. The accommodations were very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and the presentation was a 10! I can’t wait to return. One note, it is a little way from town up the hill so you will need a taxi or there is a hiking trail that will take about an hour uphill or 20-30 minutes downhill to town.
The location is small with a few rooms, clean and functional as it should be. The location is unique and the view across Cinque Terre is really outstanding. Even more outstanding are the hosts, the espresso in the morning and a glass of wine at sunset. We had a wonderful stay.
Beautiful views from the rooms.
Transportation is available separately to and from the hotel- is a shuttle service and you pay separately per ride- kind of pricey but you kind of have to because is high up there and even though some people walk - it is a long steep walk… but so worth it.
The service is phenomenal- Martha and Amina are amazing- they have the best hospitality! Thank you for everything!
A very cosy place to stay. Rooms are sea facing good views. Located not near the small town. Wonderful people.

Its a vineyard located on mountain area. You must have a rental car to get to the property. You must have experice driving in narrow uphill roads. Its a beautiful area of surround by five beautiful charming towns between the mountains by the ocean. You must visit all. Unbelievable beauty. Its a once a life time experience
A beautiful little hotel run by a charming family at a location with an incredible view. Comfortable rooms and a nice little restaurant. It’s also slightly away from the worst tourist crowd which is nice.
Within a walking distance from Vernazza, but it’s a proper hike, especially on a hot day so take water with you and keep in mind that you also need to walk back uphill.
We stayed 2 days during a heavy storm, great to watch big waves and listen to the wind. everything very nice, clean and friendly. Good wine and perfect breakfast. A great place. Thank you!
After driving a very winding road I arrived at this very amazing place called Locanda Valeria which was quietly nestled upon a cliff face overlooking the ocean.
It was a most amazing feeling as I looked out over the ocean from my veranda, listening to birds and watching the sunset.
The nights rest was peaceful and when I awoke, there was an amazing breakfast prepared with complimentary cappuccino.
I am very thankful and pleased that I got to enjoy Locanda Valeria and would highly recommend it to other travellers.
Kind Regards
Andrew
Its a little bit of a challenge to get to the place, but well worth it when you arrive! You will have to catch a bus up that drops you off about a half mile from the b&b. You could also get a taxi. The view is amazing and Bruno the chef will treat you so well.
We simply loved our stay at Locanda Valeria and we wish we could have stayed longer! The view is breathtaking and Bruno the host made sure we had everything we needed and was very welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable, we appreciated having the AC. Homemade breakfast was simply delicious and so enjoyable to eat in the garden with the amazing view. Loved also the big friendly cat! We came by car and were happy to find parking available. Highly recommend this lovely place!
Amazing view from the property. It is not manned around the clock, but check in was okay after a phonecall to the proprietor. Loved having the dogs around and especially the huge cat. Nice breakfast, but you must plan ahead for dinner in one of the towns or bring food back to the hotel, as we did for 2 nights. Roads are treacherous to get there, but we made it and recommend it highly.
Very clean and lovely Bed and Breakfast.
One has to take a taxi (25 euro) to get to the place after arriving at the Vernazza train station but it's worth it.
This place is at the top of a hill. There’s nothing at walking distance but the view is breathtaking. The service was amazing and the responsiveness excellent.
If you’re looking for a very quiet place to relax, this small hotel is perfect.
Hard to get to it though.
Gorgeous property with phenomenal views and peaceful relaxing atmosphere. Bruno was an amazing host. This property was our favorite on our two week journey through Italy.
