La Mattacciola is located in the heart of Tuscany, about a 20-minute drive from the sea and about 6 km outside the small, picturesque health resort of Sassetta.

Five natural stone steps lead to the large kitchen-living room, from which you can access one of two bedrooms, each with its own shower room. Each shower room is equipped with standard fixtures and has a window.

The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator with a freezer compartment, a gas stove with an electric oven, a coffee maker, a toaster, a sink, and a dishwasher. Each room has a wood-burning stove for the slightly cooler months. A separate outdoor seating area with furniture and a grill is located right next to the entrance.

The medieval, cubist-style village of Sassetta, with its approximately 500 residents, has a bank, a pharmacy, a small supermarket, and a tobacco shop.
Larger supermarkets are accessible by car in Donoratico and Venturina. There are restaurants, bars, and pizzerias right in the centre of the village, as well as options in all price ranges in the surrounding villages and towns.
At the same time, the location serves as a great starting point for day trips by bus, train, or car to major cultural destinations: Pisa, Volterra, San Gimignano, Florence, Siena, and even Rome are all easily accessible.
Whether you prefer lively or quiet beaches, developed or unspoiled, there’s something for everyone. Whether you go to the beach at Castagneto Carducci or the Gulf of Baratti, the water quality is excellent.
Those who prefer to explore the immediate surroundings of the house will find several agriturismos where you can swim, play tennis, go horseback riding, and enjoy excellent meals.
