Enjoyed watching the freighters and other boats go there the locks and the Valley Camp Museum located inside a freighter. Nice parks along the river. I was very disappointed in the restaurants. The food and service were poor and the prices are high

We were there at the end of the fall season, which limited our ability to take in museums and other sites. It was fun to see all the ships go through the locks.

Not a whole lot to do in Sault Ste. Marie, but the Tower of History was good and the locks are interesting. It's a good stop over if you're heading into Ontario like I was.

Nice friendly people in the Soo. A clean and peaceful small town. Love the Soo Locks!
"Check in was very easy. Really enjoyed our stay. Hopefully we will be back next year. Kitchen garbage was not removed from previous renter. No big deal we took care of it. Stove top was not cleaned, but we didn’t use the stove. Will definitely come back"
"There were some random hairs on a door frame and in the tub. Other than that, the room was very clean. Also, we were in room 101 and each morning there was a bunch of banging around 7:30 which was annoying but we would stay again for sure. Staff was great. "

"Once inside this property shines. Giving plenty of space for a family of four or even more, with pull out couch. The home was well spread out and the second sitting room was a great little area. Kitchen was stocked with everything you could need and even grill came with extra propane tank if needed. The hosts are great and thought about everything you would need. "
"Upon our arrival, I was greeted by who I believe are the owners children. They were extremely friendly. Very down to earth and really seemed to want me to enjoy my stay. I’ve been to many other hotels where the Desk people were borderline rude because they just wanted to get me checked in and moved down my way. These two greeted me as soon as I walked through the door with a big smile on their faces They asked me how my trip was and treated me like they’ve known me for quite some time. They also instructed me where the ice machine and other things were at so I wouldn’t have to search. Anyway, they were very friendly. We went to our rooms unloaded our stuff then we went out to get something to eat. When coming back after dinner, I ran into the owner in the parking lot Who is taking care of the parking lot, cleaning it and checking with other guest to see if everything was going well. When we got up in the morning, I saw the owner and his wife cleaning rooms. Then I noticed both of the children were also helping clean rooms. This really impressed me how well their family works together and how pleasant they all were about working together. I guess long story short this family owned business is taken care of the way I would if I owned it. My family was very happy with our rooms and we were very happy with their customer service. We will be back again."
"The king size bed is very comfortable. Really good water pressure in the shower. The breakfast buffet is very good, and there are several fast-food places nearby for carry-outs. This is a very nice hotel, and I told the manager so."
