"The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and had a wonderful view of the river. Breakfast was not free, but was reasonably priced and the variety of food was good. There was plenty of free parking across the street by the river. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to stay there again. "

"Hotel recently refurbished to a high standard and in central area, with underground parking, although limited and at extra cost, an added bonus. Near bars,restaurants and shops all within walking distance, an ideal location."

"This is an excellent choice for seeing Saumur. It is in an old building with a lot of character. My room was large, with wooden beamed ceiling, tall windows that opened, and a limestone fireplace I wish I had in my home. Ensuite had shower and had plenty of space. Bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly and quite helpful. The hotel is part of a very large restaurant with good food and good service. "Massive thank you to Gilles and his wife for an amazing stay at this property. The photos, whilst accurate, do not do the house justice. It is truly amazing (and huge). We stayed for 2 weeks. Location is perfect, right in the heart of Saumur. Check in was easy and it was lovely to be met at the property and shown around, even when we were much later arriving than anticipated. The house is spotless and has everything you could possibly need. The indoor pool is a rare luxury, considering the location, with the added bonus of a fantastic games room with pool table, pinball and table football. You can never be bored in this house. Communication with Gilles was excellent and he gave great recommendations about what to see in the area. I really can’t rate this house highly enough. I can’t wait to go back. "
