I liked the Nest and Top Deck roof top bars. The valet parking was convenient. The king bed very comfortable. We had a street view but the room was private with the stylish wall of curtains and blackout curtains.
The hotel was great and in an amazing location. The only complaint I have was I paid for a king river view and wasn't informed until check in that I was getting 2 queens instead of a king. The staff didnt seem to care about not being able to provide the king that i paid more for. The only thing the manager offered was for me to sign up for a rewards program. Not a huge deal but enough for me not to stay there again.
The good:
The hotel is nice. Historic building that smelled nice and looked nice too. Beds were very comfortable. I liked the room. The quaint little balcony was great. The view of the river and ship traffic was amazing. Super convenient to everything we wanted to be near. The price was good. The staff were super friendly and professional.
The not-so-good:
One of the queen beds sheets did not look like they had been changed. My wife pulled back the blanket and top sheets to find the fitted sheet looked slept on and there was a used tissue lying on top of the fitted sheet! So disgusting. I suspect one of the bath robes had not been changed as well. It had dark hair inside of it.
The young lady at the front desk was helpful and polite, my only minor critique is she didn't provide me with a ticket for the valet parking and told our son she didn't know where the fitness center was located.
Hotel is clean, but they need to work on the laundry.
The EXPEDIA PROBLEM:
I booked and prepaid with EXPEDIA, but when I got to the hotel, the clerk said they had a reservation, but I still had to pay! For some reason, the hotel was not showing that I paid in full. I went ahead and paid, the I called Expedia customer service to try to get some resolution. I'm waiting on that now. Hopefully it will get solved and I can get my money back. If I'd wanted to pay.
