"The Sofitel Hotel Cairo Downtown Nile was absolutely exceptional and exceeded every expectation I had. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed, valued, and genuinely cared for. The staff is truly outstanding — professional, warm, attentive, and always willing to go the extra mile. Every interaction felt thoughtful, and they made sure my every need was met throughout my stay. The hotel has an older charm and boutique appeal that makes it feel special, warm, and intimate. It is elegant without feeling cold or impersonal. Honestly, the hotel feels like a warm hug. After long days of exploring Cairo, it was such a comfort to return to a place that felt safe, relaxing, and welcoming. One moment that really stood out was when one of the bellmen made sure my tour guide had arrived at the correct hotel before I went out alone. That may seem like a small gesture, but it meant so much to me and showed the genuine care the staff has for their guests’ safety and comfort. The amenities also made the stay even better. We visited the spa, and it was wonderful — the perfect way to relax and unwind. Having a bank inside the hotel was incredibly convenient and made it easy to access cash when needed. We ordered room service, and the food was delivered quickly and efficiently. The staff even set up a beautiful table so I could truly enjoy my meal, which was such a lovely touch. The food and drinks were also a highlight. My sister loved their cosmos, and the bartender personally came over"

"I stayed at the Sonesta for almost a week while in Cairo. The room was spacious and comfortable, my bed was very comfortable. The entire hotel is well maintained and up-to-date. The staff were attentive and polite, though as a hotel that hosts numerous travel groups it can be very busy. The location is well situated close to the airport, but it is probably half an hour by car from major attractions. One plus is that it is just 10-15 minutes’ walk from the Stadium metro station should you wish to see Cairo that way."

"Elevator broken. Hotel on fifth floor. No one spoke English. Called for someone to check us in didn’t show. After 45 minutes of waiting we left to find another hotel. We were tired. I have requested a refund"

"This apartment type hotel is excellent but I gave it 4 star instead of 5 because of two reasons: 1. Outside traffic noise at our third floor room was quite disturbing throughout the night. 2. Wi-fi was in and out and difficult to continue any work depending on wi-fi. Not sure if it was an isolated situation. Other than these two complaints this studio type room was excellent in my opinion."

"Breakfast was great and always fresh. The AC worked very well, the room was clean, and the housekeeping team was very polite and professional. The only issue I faced during this stay was with one of the reception staff members, who was uncooperative and did not follow the reservation details correctly. The situation became frustrating to the point that I was considering cancelling my stay. However, the Duty Manager, Mr. Ahmed Said, handled the situation professionally and resolved everything in the right way. Also, during check-out, Mr. Yousof Motaz was very cooperative, efficient, and helpful. Overall, thanks to the support and professionalism of the management team, my experience ended positively."
