"We hosted a wonderful family gathering here for my husband's Papa, and he had an amazing weekend surrounded by his grandkids and great-grandkids. There was so much space and endless activities to choose from—fishing, archery, volleyball, and soccer kept everyone entertained!The house itself is fantastic and comes equipped with a game room featuring a poker table and plenty of board games. The owner is exceptionally helpful and quick to respond. When the Wi-Fi went out for a brief moment, she was on top of it immediately! We are so grateful for her hospitality and definitely plan on booking this place again.A few things to note: Lawn Care: The grass was quite tall during our stay, so we had to be extra cautious with the little ones who might not know to watch out for snakes.Ambient Noise: I loved watching the sunrise from the porch every morning, but do keep in mind that a loud generator or pond aerator runs constantly. You can hear it clearly from both the front and back porches, so it does mask the peaceful morning sounds of chirping birds and crickets.Overall, it was a lovely stay and a fantastic backdrop for making family memories!"

Fire Pit, Pickleball, Pool! Schulenburg Farmhouse

"We had a great weekend at the "Gathering at Mulberry Creek". The pool is awesome and a perfect cool down after fun on the pickleball court. The kids made up teams and "battled it out" for the "Mulberry Creek Pickleball Championship." Great accommodations for our family, four BR for adults and bunk room for the kiddos. We'll be back."

"Beautiful home place in a beautiful setting. Tons of charm & updates to the home were perfect. We would definitely stay here again. Very close to town & not too far from La Grange & Round Top. The host was personable and very helpful. (I already miss my heifer friends.)"

"We booked The Hideaway for our small group gathering over the 4th of July, and it was exactly the quiet escape we were hoping for. The house has such a warm, easygoing character, with great porches for sitting outside together and plenty of room to spread out. The history of the home and what it now offers guests is a wonderful story the owners should be proud of sharing.We spent our days lounging in the cowboy tank, a perfect way to cool off on a hot day, and our evenings unwinding and playing dominoes in the dining room. Schulenburg was the perfect distance to get away from the busy city. Would happily book again for another low-key getaway."
