"We wanted a peaceful getaway and that’s what got at the Buck Shack. We were a short drive with breathtaking views and landscapes. We enjoyed a campfire with s’mores at night. Enjoyed the sound of nature and birds singing. Had excellent communication with host and most everything we needed when we arrived. The indoor decor is rustic and beautifully decorated with small accents and details. Highly recommend!☺️"

"Owner was very good on communication. We enjoyed the first time container stay. Very well thought out place. As a note, things that are usually included in rentals like wifi and firewood have fees. There is some traffic below the container on a state route but it dies down. We would definitely stay again and wish to try the RV place next! Thanks for the hospitality!"

"Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful home with our family. Perfect for our family of 6 adults, 2 children and well behaved labradoodles to meet from destinations from ‘north’ and ‘south’. Grandchildren said ‘this is a Christmas House!’ Funny story…We read about the house ghost, ‘the butler’. My adult son was a little spooked, thought ‘the butler’ made my grandchildren’s beds, until my daughter in law said ‘I don’t think it was the ghost, I think it was your mom!’ :) Happy new year!"

"It was o k, but it's definitely not. For older people would disabilities. It had a stairs that were like, 25 stairs. Up to the door to get in. And no other way to get into the building. That means that two old people had to carry all of their stuff up those stairs. There is also no Wi-Fi and it said it has Satellite TV. But there was only about 4 channels. I was supposed to work this weekend and wasn't able to."

"Great house for a large family reunion. We made a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with this fully equipped kitchen. Everything you need and then some! Wonderfully large dining room seats 12 around the table easily. Loads of lovely dish ware and glassware to have a formal and festive family dinner. Every room is comfortable and spotless. Host was terrific!! Highly recommend for a large adult group."

"This was a historic property with all the updates of a modern home. The hosts have made this a real labor of love with cute decorations, household necessities, snacks, and coziness everywhere. There were 2 twin beds in the kids room and a comfy queen bed in the master. We felt safe throughout our stay and got to see all the farm animals just up the road. Would highly recommend to friends and smaller families!"

The view is amazing and there is wildlife to watch (take binocullars) If you need to get away from all the over stimulation of your life get this cabin, It is not close to anything so take what you really need and enjoy. We drive probably 20 minutes to a small town and had some good food take out but honestly we couldnt wait to get back, I suffer from insomnia and I listened to tree frogs and crickets and slept better than I had in years....

"The cabin was adorable but I didn’t realize the two person cabin had no bathroom. We were at the top of the hill and had to drive downhill to the bath house. Would have been nice to have a bathroom at least near our cabin to use at night. Also it was a surprise for the $200 deposit to come out the day before our arrival in addition to what we paid. Everything was clean and nice other than that."

"You can actually hear yourself think out in this cabin.
