"Why stay in Cortina for the Dolomites? Just south in San Vito is the wonderful Sport Dolomiti Hotel. The staff was excellent - front desk host right from the beginning. Very good snacks available in the afternoon - again with very friendly staff. Breakfast was excellent - created on premise and good service and a wide variety buffet with everything from cereal, juices, various eggs, fruit, sweets.. Maybe the best buffet anyplace. The view from the hotel out the back is incredible - looking up into the Dolomites. Room is simple, but good sized and well-maintained. Great porch out the back of our room where we watched the clouds on the mountains. Very nice bike/walking path behind the hotel and away from the main road. If we are back this way, we would definitely return here - and highly recommended to anyone else."

"An incredible incredible location, very comfortable, and absolutely fantastic staff. The front desk staff was so welcoming, kind, and helpful answering questions and setting my husband and I up with a private taxi to get where we needed to be last minute. Everything about our stay here was great and we had nothing but good things to say. Would recommend and would definitely stay here again in the future."

"A lovely historic hotel. The lake below hosted the 1956 Olympic speed skating events outside. Very cool vibe. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great place to start exploring the Eastern Dolomites, away from all the craziness of Cortina. Which is a nice hour drive away."

"The hotel is charming, and carefully decorated. We had a spacious room with a fabulous Dolimite mountain view. The staff are the best, very nice and helpful with information and directions. We didn't eat in the restaurant but it looked nice and is a great option because there aren't a lot of restaurants open in the off season. We were there for 2 nights, which was perfect!"

"L'emplacement était idéal pour marcher au alentour. Le service et le personnel sont vraiment gentil et de service. Le déjeuner était parfait. On mange bien à la salle à manger le soir. Petit conseil pour les marcheurs; partez avec un oeuf cuit dur pour completer votre dîner en montagne. Mais c'est un 3 étoiles; alors un peu vieillot et la chambre petite (douche petite). Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Merci au personnel pour votre excellent acceuil."
