"The Woodenbridge is an iconic inn located in the hills of Avoca, outside of Arklow. It is the oldest hotel in Ireland, and is a popular spot to stay, or spend the afternoon. The rooms are comfortable with modern conveniences. They have a hearty breakfast buffet, and the bar was a great place to get an afternoon drink to enjoy on their sunny patio. Their staff are very friendly and helpful."

"Parking was easy, room clean, gym and dining/bar options on site. Nice campus. Bed was too hard for my spouse. Pool and sauna were lovely. Gym was small but did the job. Didn't try the spa. Spent two nights there. Visited Mount Usher Gardens and Glendalough area from here. Don't miss the gardens... Amazing if you are a tree nerd... "

"The guesthouse is nice enough but the staff were standoffish to begin with. There was an unexpected extra charge for my dog to stay. They had their large dogs roaming freely, which was intimidating to nervous dogs on leads. The shower in our room was old and complicated to use. I forgot an expensive orthopaedic pillow at the guesthouse and requested it to be sent to me. The owner assured me he had it, charged me €35 and sent an old battered cushion with no cover at a cost of €9. Overall the stay was ok, but the owner was barbaric "

"Overall it was a good stay, beautiful property with a charming farmhouse and lots of character. Could do with a better clean - lots of cobwebs. Could have been remedied with a quick clean when you know guests are checking in. "

"This was a lovely night to stay for us. We appreciated the grounds, the food and the friendly staff! We walked to town for supper after we got checked in. We would stay again for sure and loved your black dog."
