The house itself is cool! The access to the beach was great. The stairs were very sturdy, my 80 year old grandma was able to do them as well as my 2 year old.
You can tell some updates have been done in the home, but there is still room for improvement in that area. That didn’t stop us from enjoying the view or our family getaway though.
The driveway is VERY difficult to spot from the road, but turning around is easy enough once you realize you’ve passed it.
There is a somewhat creepy basement, but unless you’re retrieving games or doing laundry you don’t really need to go down there. The upstairs is also a little creepy, but has a gorgeous view and its own bathroom which is really nice.
The washer and drier did not work well during our stay, so I’m glad I packed enough that we didn’t have to rely on it as it took 7 loads to get just a few things almost clean and I had to scrub those items with dish soap and a scrub brush after the third load.
We would ultimately return if some upgrades were made, but until then we will try to find another home that’s a bit more up to date as some key safety features worried us. Neither the door leading to the basement or the door leading upstairs locked, which was a huge safety concern with a 2 year old in the house. They are also very narrow and steep stairwells, so my grandma was unable
To leave the main floor. Outlets are very warn and it was difficult to find one that worked to charge things, that also concerned us with safety. Smoke alarms didn’t appear to be in date (at least one was so old that it was yellow), and that was pretty unnerving as well.
