We stayed at this property for 5 evenings. The house is cute, 2 bedroom one bathroom. The street out front of the house is extremely busy, day and night as it seems that it's a thorough fair, so a bit challenging to get in and out, plus an elementry school right across the street.
It's your typical old house with creeky floors, so don't expect to sneak around if others are in bed, lol.
The kitchen has been renovated and has a nice gas stove, copper farm house sink (haven't seen that before and yes, it does give off a smell, weird!), along with a dishwasher & full size fridge.
If I could suggest, I would ask the home owners to put up black out curtains in the bedrooms as the neighbor next door keeps their patio lights on all night and they shine right in and feels like it's daylifght. Plus a kettle for tea would be great too! It takes a while to heat up water on the stove. House keeping could have done a better job of cleaning the house. The floor was dirty and the ceiling fans had quite a bit of dust on them.
Other than that, it's a good area, only about 15-20 min drive to downtown. There are a couple little restaurants and coffee shops not far from the house. The Pete's Eggnest has delicious breakfast, but you will have to wait for a table.
We did have a bit of an issue with sugar ants in the bathroom but the homeowner said it's due to the rain? I just kept flushing them back down the sink, lol.
It's great to stay at a pet friendly house!
Thank you!
