Room was beautiful, especially bathroom felt luxurious. Bed was very comfortable. A little odd: the coffee maker was on the bottom shelf of bureau which made it awkward to pour water in and select the pods.

At the very end of its IHG corporate refit, the Monaco’s interior is now stripped of all vestiges of independent quirkiness in favor of muted chic and some oddly flimsy fittings (take care when using the soap dispenser in the shower - the caddy is less than solid). But the staff are still terrific: welcoming, attentive and warm: and the no-fuss dog policy is unchanged. We had drinks and nibbles in the lobby and they were top tier, served with good cheer (and water for our hound) The restaurant name and menu has changed too, nice to find the food was truly tasty - simple and well executed.

The front desk staff was very personable and helpful. We knew that they were remodeling the building before we came. I felt sorry for the staff who needed to work with the noise.

Hotel was clean and in a very convenient location, but the coffee maker in our room was broken and the complimentary coffee offered in the lobby was hit or miss. Half the time it was empty and other times there was coffee, but no cups. We requested bedding for the sofa bed and it took 2 hours to receive. Asked for an extra pillow for the sofa bed and was told they had run out of pillows. Would stay here again, but there is room for improvement on amenities.
